Really flat tonight, but completely expected.

I don't think I even flinched for our goals. Unfortunately I'm just numb to it all still.

So flat.  More subdued than i can ever recall it.  Our 1st goal generated little more than a ripple of applause.

After 30 odd years of never leaving a game early i have three times now already.  Left at 75 mins today.  Not disgusted , not mad, just bored and uninterested .Our football is boring rubbish, the atmosphere was boring rubbish.  Not sure when ill be back but a reckon a break probably needed

The worst atmosphere I’ve ever experienced down there. I could genuinely hear Gary Caldwell from SK1

I could hear him in G1 as well. The atmosphere was so odd and felt almost hollow. Even when we scored it was very half hearted cheers. Years of disappointment has turned the fans into unenthusiastic meh. .

I can't remember celebrating a goal where I actually felted excited and passionate, it's just been too long.

I forgot to celebrate the 1st myself today as I thought it was offside and just went "oh, it counted, well done".

I think the last few years of abuse is taking its toll on us all.

Flashlights out for a win that moves us up to 11th in League One. Yet again, Filbert Street would turn in its grave at what our home support has become.

Fully understandable though. The fans have had the life sucked out of them and are more often than not turning up expecting us to lose. A few wins against the absolute fodder of league 1 isn't going to get people excited again. We need to become a serious football club again before we can expect any kind of atmosphere l and that wont happen until we get new owners and a new board.

We shouldn't even be in this league and we cant be expected to get overly excited over beating a terrible Wigan side.

What was that about? I thought it might be related to the anniversary and I'd missed the memo.

Home support is just a reflection of the club and team, broken.

Fair points but it still shouldn't excuse people doing it. It's bizarre and embarrassing, and sends out the wrong message to be considered a serious football club. Some were even doing it during the Millwall game last season.

The most simple way of putting it..

No drum = No atmosphere

It's a shame because proper clubs don't need them. The one in L1 has needed to go for years.

Oh yeh sorry I was referring to the lack of atmosphere in the stadium. The people overly celebrating any win this season need their heads testing. We should not be celebrating failure, even if we do get promoted, as we should have never been in this position in the first place. Im all for backing the players, especially the academy lads, and I'll applaude when we win, but I won't be going overboard in any kind of celebrations.

I wouldn't have an issue with not having a drum, but what you need if you don't have it is more people that are prepared to sing from the offset. Look around the ground and it's clear that we don't have that. With a drum, it at least generates a focal point to build around and people can just join in as and when. If we had a block of around 3k/4k willing to sing from the off we might be able to pull it off without a drum.

A very strange disconnect everywhere, especially considering it was a win and a clean sheet. Very little celebration from the players with the fans, Russell barely came on the pitch at full time. Regardless of the dross we are playing, 3 wins in 4 is the form we need to be hitting, although its hard to see any actual improvements on the pitch. The management and the club have clearly given up on trying to build any bridges with the fans at the moment.

I still feel punch drunk from the Peterborough game, watching Savage fist pump the away end. It was a horrific moment that going to take me a long time to recover from.

The style does knock all passion out of you. Other than the goals there were very few exciting moments, and far to much semi circle passing around the opponents penalty area. Its also tough knowing that if the opponents had any quality, then you end up losing that game. So often we are passing in by their penalty area, compressed, and we lose possession and with 1 pass they are one on one with either Souttar of Okoli defending. Reality is Wigan should probably have been 1-2 up at half time. Reality is any team we play who us who can either press effectively or has some pace and a little quality up top gets something against us.

The only way this manager can build a rapport with the fans is to win games and get us up the table. If we can beat Stevenage and then or next league game, which is most likely to be Huddersfield away given that Bradford is in the international break, then the mood will be a more positive one.

And all evidence suggests that wont happen. Even 3 wins in 4 is an outlier for us (Marti achieved it once, then it was Enzo before him). We have tough run of fixtures coming up, and are the sorts of ones where the fans really need to be behind the team. The current approach, which is to almost distance everything away from the fans, feels very odd.
