He almost single handedly kept us in games before getting injured in 24/25

Sadly he's finished now, not just at Premier League level. Been a complete liability for West Ham this season and was bad for us after his injury.

No matter how underwhelming Stolarczyk has been, getting a fee for Hermansen when we did was the right decision.

He had actually been on a very good run of form for a couple of months or so when he came back in and was a big part of West Hams form improving

Danny Ward had a decent couple of games before the world cup.

Across the whole season Hermansen has put in a lot of stinkers. The kind of games you would forgive a PL level goal keeper for having once or twice in a season has been every other game for him.

They still look better than we did but the way some West Ham players are casually strolling around reminds me so much of our lot.

There's no way you'd get this kind of lack of intensity in a relegation threatened side 20 years ago. Can't help but feel like too many players just don't give enough of a shit now.

Every other game is a bit of stretch

He has been poor yes but certainly not at Ward levels overall

He's 25 no were near the prime age for a goalkeeper, has plenty of time to turn things around.

6 cleansheet in 17 games in a poor West Ham side isn't to shabby.

I think West Ham who have watched him every week this season would agree with me.

Good goalkeeper for us but that injury has killed him off.

Danny Ward also had 6 clean sheets in the first half of 2022/23, I don't think you would find many people saying he wasn't too shabby then.

I think you see one of the ones that said Jakub was better, feels like you are grasping to try and prove something.

Not trying to prove something, could just see that Hermansen had lost something at the end of our last PL season and was happy for him to leave for a fee.

Had he been with us this season we wouldn't be able to get any where near £15mil for him and I don't think he would have kept us up.

Stolarczyk has been disappointing though, felt that certain fans were unfairly on his back after a good start to the season but he let his head drop too easily in response to that. The talent is there but the mentality isn't.

I assume you also read through all 68 pages? lol

I've been in and out of that thread since he started for them.  I've committed it to memory and tattooed the important bits on my kneecaps.

He's below average at this level. 2 relegations at 2 clubs in 2 years.  The part of his game he excels at doesnt work for those at the bottom of the table, and he not going to Man City or Arsenal.

He's got a big decision to make at the end of this season for sure.

Jordan James has been relegated for two different teams in the Championship, it’s not an indictment on his ability

He’s got talent but just doesn’t seem suited to coping with adversity. Like pretty much everyone we have signed since 2016, lacking in mental strength.

Probably have a good season for West Ham in the Championship if they stick with him.

Arguably Jordan James also has a big decision to make too, and Mads at times was a calamity for West Ham earlier in the season so im not convinced you can compare both exactly the same way. Jordan issue is his fitness - can he stay healthy enough to have a bigger impact at a higher level?

I was making the point that relegations don’t measure a player’s ability. West Ham have been shoddily ran and it’s caught up with them

He had a shocking start, lost his place, was booed in those early games. He got back in and IMO has delivered at least a 7/10 performances in the latter part of the season. Unfortunately for Mads, whilst he has found decent form he has some real horrible defenders in front of him and not much better in midfield.
