Love Martin, but he's making himself sound a bit of a wally sticking up for the behaviour of Celtic fans on Talksport.

What else is he going to do though really.

The Hearts statement was a joke. I wanted them to win the league and was gutted with the way it played out on Saturday but Hearts have embarrassed themselves.

As much as it was a disgrace with the penalty at Motherwell and what have you, Hearts lost their heads and have been awful losers.

Martin O'Neill has to back his own club and fans. If there is proof that Celtic fans have abused or assaulted Hearts players then that is abhorrent but other than classless individuals looking to laugh and point at Hearts players, it really doesn't look like that happened.

Ultimately, Hearts had more than enough opportunities to win the league. They opened the door for Celtic and were annoyed that they walked right through it.

He’s a great story teller so that in itself made for an entertaining couple of hours.

Biggest pearl was that he was offered the job before Ranieri.

Bit too much Celtic chat for my liking. Get the sense he’ll either be staying there or back to his retirement, no chance he wants to get involved with the current debacle here.

Swerved a fair few questions, interesting that he denied ever being offered the job from us to be found to be telling a porky, why would he do that? I wonder if he regretted that decision.

Wasn't there a rumour he was interested in coming back following Cooper sacking, or was it after Rodgers. Nevertheless, agree in the too much Celtic for me

There were probably a few dozen Celtic fans but I think they must have written multiple questions each and/or the interviewer harper back to them too much.

The turnaround in 96/97, play offs, survival etc were sort of skirted over.

He was in great form though, really engaging and you can tell he is an effusive character. The best anecdote was probably telling off one of the Japanese lads (didn’t yet know them) in the dressing room for talking whilst he was, stressed that he liked silence, he asked him to be quiet, the guy bowed his head to apologise… it was Maeda and Hatate’s interpreter - of course he was talking!
