Great interview !
You hit the nail on the head !
Not the managers fault !

We will continue to decline !

We’re heading to Sheffield Wednesday standards !

Owner needs to sell up and clear off !

Just look at yesterday's post on Facebook by Bentley's roof. Full of the 'be careful what you wish for brigade '.  Still work to do!

Be careful what you wish for because you might end up with an owner

who is a tiny bit interested in the club he owns

has half an idea of how to run a football club

that is hands on

turns up to watch matches on a regular basis

and doesn’t place his own business in financial jeopardy !

Got spoken over at the end which really p*ssed me off 🤣

You spoke really well. Haven't listed to 606 for about 10 years so I was amazed that actually just let you talk for ages. Obviously they kind of deflected back to the manager and players underperforming which is expected, but the fact you were given the time to articulate some of the off field issues, it's a big thing for those listening. They don't get the rebuttal of careful what you wish for/you were champions etc.

Good work.

The original call in August went better

Sutton and Shearer don't get it - any more than many of our own fans don't.

We managed to keep the squad vaguely together and got Maresca in to get us back in the Prem.

But that was papering over the cracks, eeking out what had been built over a few years by Vichai, Pearson, etc. Maresca could see it and jumped ship. The rest is history.

And people saying be careful what you wish for. Well, did you wish for this?

Can you honestly see a change in fortune coming? Be honest now.

The difference to many situations like this is Vichai's legacy. I wonder how bad Top will let it get before the penny drops.

I think I was on a delay by a good 10 secs, cos I turned the radio back on after the call ended, and Sutton was still listing them. The producer told me I couldn’t mention the shirt sponsor betting company by name nor that they may be illegal, so reckon I was on a delay for that reason

Everyone is on a delay for pretty much every BBC phone in and interview these days. When I worked there we always had a ten second delay for the most innocuous of stuff.

You came across very well though, smashing stuff.

What was the last game Top turned up to?

Wrexham.

He then came back during the international break, Whelan situation, but left before Pompey.

Just listened to this. Infuriated me that he didn't let you reply to him listing the "star players on the bench"

I recorded the call my end too

Can hear me repeating myself 5x ‘they’re useless Chris, they’re useless’

Obviously I had no idea they’d muted me at that point 😂

It's bad enough he can't be arsed as the owner but as the acting CEO it's hyper negligent. He's a c unt

Yeah about an hour after the "acting CEO" comment he left the country lol

Him turning up to the Wrexham game was so predictable though, loads of TV cameras, chance to be on a documentary etc etc.

We are in a total mess. This will take years to sort out and that's with somebody who knows what they are doing. It makes you feel sick to the stomach.

To be fair with those out of contract next summer, plus a sale or two, most of the big contract dossers will be gone.

I can see there could potentially be light at the end of the tunnel with contracts, but I just have no faith in those in charge wont replace those dossers with some new overpaid and underperforming dossers.
