Genuinely love him. Never, ever thought I’d like a manager more than MON. Happy Birthday you white trainered, regulation haircutted, stupendously donged bastard. Xxxx

He is basically a god, realest man to walk the planet.

that era will go down as our greatest ever for the next 3000 years Pearson, Shakey and Walsh will never be matched.

I think we still win the league if he wasn’t sacked and probably go on a Fergie United run.

Winning the prem was incredible but I often wonder where we would’ve finished that season if we had kept Nigel.

Just edited to say we still would have won the league and gone even further like Fergie / United shame it ended how it did look at us now

Him and Martin O Neill should have statues, freedom of the city and they have a place in my heart forever, as the two most memorable eras of Lcfc history. Nigel saved us from the abyss in style, created a team everyone loved who worked hard and had quality. Then after Sven had fvcked up the team and spent a fortune he came back sorted us out again and signed the majority of the title winning team for peanuts. A living God.

Don't forget Martin O Neill though. He took us to the prem and kept us there in the top half for 4 years on a shoestring and won 2 Cup finals. But I totally agree, an absolute living God of a man, I sang one nigel Pearson louder than anything else in the Ipswich game and all our modern success is down to him and his signings. We could have rotted in league one for years if it wasn't for him.

I’ve been through both eras and loved MON I had a season ticket all through his reign and seen us at Wembley 3 times and Hillsborugh I just think Pearson along with Shakey, Walsh and Viachi was a bit special along with Vardy and Mahrez two of the greatest players to play for us should never have been sacked.

Also Pearson had a few misses with signings. But when you look at each player he signed he always had a plan in place which had the clubs best interests at heart. From low risk loans to plug a hole, to well calculated gambles (vardy, Mahrez, knockaert) he did some unreal business for us.
