I was struggling g for a euphemism for a number 2....  and then i came across this GENIUS idea.

 

Squad number of our worst ever players!

 

Only players who have had a particular squad number can enter the team.

 

Ie- Daka has NEVER been our #9, so he cannot be #9.

 

So

Eadie was quality when he was fit. Ayew is a terrible downgrade from the best player in our history, but there are objectively worse 9s than him in recent years.

Ayew isn’t a number nine, embarrassing he even has it. He’s a worse striker (read, not player) than say dross like Bednar

Stephen Clemence never played for free. Both Billy Mckinlay & Nicky Summerbee did. Neither of them wore number 6 either.
