Feels like an 8/10 window because of how low they've set the bar and expectations, more like a 4/10 window in reality.

Yep. I would’ve liked at least upgrades on Kristiansen and Daka too.

Having said that, the three signings yesterday are all exciting and low-risk.

The big sticking point for me is that unhappy players like Winks, Faes, Kristiansen and Soumare are still here.

Happy about the fact we brought in genuine talent - in key areas - without spunking through tens of millions to do so. I think we all agree that we need to be a lot more sustainable than we have been.

Would have liked another winger & reserve gk. But BDCR is nearing fitness & although I'm no fan, he will have his uses. Shame that Bilal didn't want to stay but I think Ramsey is a very viable replacement.

Mostly happy with the outs. although the 'swamp' isn't fully drained & the squad is still a little large, it has lessened to a good degree & we got some good money via outgoings. For a change.

I just hope the players that were seeking moves but didn't get them will knuckle down....

For Dibling you’re paying English Tax, he’s younger and is seen as a generational talent. Many believe he’ll go on to be a top, top player.

Fernandes I don’t disagree really, I see him as very much in a similar way to El Khannous.

Dibling has done nothing to suggest he's a generational talent, 2 goals in 35 games for Southampton is an identical record to BEK at Leicester last year.

Yes he's 2 years younger but IMO generational talent is Rooney levels of talent and even then I would argue he didn't fulfill his true promise from Euro 2004 with England at the same age.

We're a victim of our PSR incompetence, everyone knows we need the money.

Two fairly equally matched 11s we could field now. Which i think constitutes a balanced if shit squad.

Begovic

Choudhury Faes Nelson Kristiansen

Skipp Soumare

Ayew Page Monga

Daka

vs

Carranza

Mavididi Ramsey Fatawu

Winks James

Thomas Vestergaard Okoli Ricardo

Stolarzcyk

+ Bausor Aluko Evans Marcal Souttar Reid

You’ve thrown me with reversing the polarity. Carranza in nets. This could work….

Looking forward to FT blowing up and a complete meltdown when the 3 new lads get about 30 minutes combined against Oxford and don’t immediately rip it up

Got a couple of mins through that, but couldn't help but notice the commentary on some of those:

"that's the monkey off his back"

"no mistake that time"

Absolutely. It comes up a fair few times.

Also strangely "cleaner than neutrogina.... from the man from argentina"

Perhaps Faes and Kristiansen will knuckle down to try and ensure they go to the World Cup next year

The second one is because he missed a penalty in that game, the commentator references it literally immediately before

I clearly have too much disdain towards Top and Rudkin but the compliments that they’re getting on here baffles me.

Our entire transfer window has been controlled by PSR issues which they caused.

A few examples that highlight this and my anger, Vardy hasn’t properly been replaced yet we’ve known for how long that he was leaving?

Bilal (eventual) and Mads fees seem low compared to the current market.

It's another example of how successfully they've reduced expectations really.

Based on what I have seen from other clubs and the business we have done. I think we have a good chance again this year as long as any punishment isn't too bad.

I would definitely be offering Michael Antonio a short term deal as he gets back to fitness.

30mins of him every game could help give Monga, Fatawu, Mavi, James, Ramsey something to play off. Even if the man is 75% of what he would be a force as an option off the bench in the champ.
