We all know that there is still a ton of dead wood on this squad.  Extremely poor mismanagement from the DOF/board/Top himself have brought us here.  And the harsh reality is, some of that dead wood we are absolutely stuck with until the contracts run out, bar some other club's DOF gets a raging case of dementia and taking on one of these players.

That said, if LCFC are to be considered at all ambitious, there is no reason the following players should see the pitch again in a Leicester shirt.

Wout Faes

Jannik Vestergaard

Victor Kristiansen

Oliver Skipp

Bouba Soumare

Patson Daka

And yet, week in/week out, they are on the match day squad, and more shockingly, in the starting XI.

Get these players out of the match day squad, lessen the roles of Ayew, DCR and Winks, and let the rest of the lads battle it out on the pitch.  We lack passion, and overpaid, arrogant has beens getting paid far too much for their level are not going to dig us out of the hole we're in.

End rant.

Luke Thomas

Not a bad shout, but at least at the Championship level, I think he could become useful again, perhaps reinvigorated by an influx of youth and hunger playing around him.  Weird that they thought it wise to extend his contract though...it's as though they have no ambition of returning to the PL.

Or are deluded enough to think it’ll add more money onto the deal when we sell him 😂

Basically agreed but they've all played well in the past so why aren't they playing well now

Remind me.  Which of those has played well?

Genuinely shocked people thought this amount of turd could be flushed in a single window.

A competent DOF should have been flushing this amount of turd through the many windows they've remained in the toilet that is LCFC.  It's not like this lot is a new problem of underperformance.

That’s a good point, must be used to the furniture. :(

Faes, Vestergaard and Soumare have been OK this season. Sorry to upset. One mistake each at the back, and Soumare is obviously hugely frustrating, but if we had a forward with even a hint of goalscoring ability, we'd be in the promotion spots right now.

With Faes and Vestergaard it is more that they are blocking Okoli and especially Nelson from playing despite neither of them having any future at the club, we know they aren't good enough in the top tier, we know they won't be with us past their current contracts

It makes no sense to keep playing them rather than give game time to 2 younger CBs who might be around longer and could develop as players and as a partnership

Agreed a Pearson "delusions of grandeur "

Clearout required ASAP to lay the foundations for the future.

We're stuck with them until contracts run out.  No-one out there is daft enough to consider them.

As much as the half time changes manufactured last nights result, the fact that some of these are paid 50k+ a week and are unable to turn over a League One outfit from last season says it all.

Embarrassing, but no-one seems to care.  Putting it right in the next game might offer a glimpse of care but as things stand there isn't a care in the world.

I get that. But it always makes sense playing your best players, to some extent at least. I'm also not sure Okoli is actually that good.

It would be easier to be enthusiastic about players who are enthusiastic to play here. For me, that rules out Soumare, Faes, Vestegaard and Kristiansen.

While Skipp and Daka have been poor, I don't think it's for a lack of trying. Mavididi is on the watchlist - he seems to be permanently grumpy and average at best for over a year.

Jakub

Ricardo Nelson Okoli Thomas

Winks James

Fatawu Ramsey Monga

Carranza(?)

Probably wouldn't get promoted, but I don't think Soumare, Faes etc will either. And at least we'd have players that want to improve their career rather than ones who think they deserve better.

This would be one way to further the downward spiral within the club.

Rate these players or not, you can’t exile several high profile players within a squad without creating a massive fallout in terms of squad harmony and seriously damaging your clubs reputation in the transfer market.

There is also an irony in you highlighting Daka as one of the players to be exiled, given it’s very arguable that he should retain his starting spot on Saturday when considering the alternative options we have at our disposal and how they have faired in the striker position.

One mistake? Vestergaard made 2 big mistakes in 2 mins last night. Faes good for at least 1 a game (managed to get himself booked in the first 25 mins because he thought he was prime Messi, putting himself under big pressure).

That's a lot to squeeze on the side of a van, can we just go with "RUDKIN OUT" again?

Not sure why you think Thomas can become useful again compared to the others. The reason VK got game time last night was because Luke got ripped apart by Kaboré and he’s the same Thomas that had failed loans at Sheffield United and Middlesbrough at this level.
