Probably not but if we lose Okoli or Faes in January he will surely come in to the team.

Hopefully that is the case because based on the current state of the squad Nelson is one of a few actually worth something and could massively help us out with PSR, we need him signing a new deal though to help with that, else we're losing him on the cheap.

Yeah a valuable one, who's been targeted by other clubs and has experience at this level, including him would at least show he's got some kind of eye on the future, whilst not having much to work with transfer wise.

I think we are drinking our own coolade here. There were transfer murmerings, but 'targeted' is hyperbole.

If he's fit we should be playing him and developing him. BUT, i dont believe for one minute we would be top 6 right now if we were paying Nelson.

Based on what I watched yesterday.

Who is our goal scorer?
Who is our defensive midfield player

Who are our full backs?

What is our/best formation?

Not sure there is an easy answer to any of those fairly simple questions

Been like that under the last two managers as well, maybe its just the squad.

Bored of saying it now tbh.

2 other crap managers doesn't make Marti a good one.

They had Vardy and six other first team players to work with so they are even worse

A good manager had these same losers playing well just 2 seasons ago.

Top and Rudkin are ****ing idiots and so are our last 3 managers (including Marti).

We had Justin, Ndidi, KDH, Kelchi, Hermasen and Vardy so not sure what you are going on about.

Plus we had a bad patch under Enzo when we lost just Ndidi but everyone was cheering about his departure in the summer.

We also went on a run where we couldn't score.

He hasn’t shown anything to suggest he should be the man to rebuild us.

I got shot down when I said go for Dyche this shit wouldn’t have happened under him. We definitely wouldn’t be conceding first every game. Where’s all the fans that said let’s show some ambition and go for a young hungry manager now! He’s done nothing as a manager.

  1. Criticism of the Manager has to take into consideration who he (had to) sold, and the loans he made…..as per the earlier email, we are woefully short on strikers, defensive mids and full backs…….none of the changes made yesterday saw any improvement on what went before…we replaced mediocrity with slightly inferior mediocrity…..if we are sacking him….Michael Carrick……would be our 6th Manager in 3 years…..might not want the job mind…..

Dyche didn't want to come here though

He didn't. Here is the team who played Southampton 2 years ago when beat them 1-4

4 of the starters are still here (one of which is ******g Vestergaard).

5 of the subs are still here, 1 of which is Faes, 1 Hamza and 1 Daka.

Its not the same team.

And that bunch stank out most of the 2nd half of the season anyway.

Didn't Percy say we turned down multiple bids? That's not a post of someone on here pretending to be ITK and saying there was interest, that's a well informed journo saying we turned down bids.

Not saying we would be top 6, but we aren't anyway lol instead we're persisting with players who are less beneficial to us commercially and still stinking the league out

We are on the same page. I would sooner be mid table playing more of the academy. But Nelson has become the go to argument to try and prove anything right now.

I've been very vocal that a massive mistake has been building the team around Vestergaard, who has oddly become undroppable. This has meant 1 CB position remaining.

We should drop Vestergaard, start Okoli / Nelson and use Faes for rotation (bin him off in Jan if we can and replace). Job done.

But Vestergaard seems to be LCFC's Stockholm syndrome. No matter how shit he has been, and how much he disrespects the club, we seem to keep coming back for more at the expense of players like Nelson.

I don't think Vesterguard has been bad though that's the problem, he work's hard and get's on with it, can't he play with Vestergard ? Thomas and Faes have cost us more goals than Vesterguard imo

The whole system, which is slow / predictable and easy to play against is built around Vestergaard. He’s a one trick pony and flat track bully who can’t do anything else. Millwall showed exactly what you need to do against him.

To be fair I got shot down for saying we should have moved heaven and earth for Moyes after cooper (and before) - lots of our fan base aren't actually THAT knowledgeable.

They are probably just realistic, Moyes wouldn't have come here.

Nope, at the time I was told that we should be aiming higher and that we'd moved beyond that type of manager.

I'd also suggested Emery as a replacement for Rodgers before he joined Villa.  But again, he was seen as a failure and not enough stature for us.

I think we need to go to a back 3 tbh which would then allow Nelson to come into the squad/first team... I don't think it's solely on Vesterguard more the formation.

Can't remember which game but we switched to a back 3 and looked a lot better

Nelson will be pushing for a loan in Jan and a permenant move in the summer

Why would he want to sign another deal here??
