I’ve been so negative about him and if you told me he’d gone I’d just shrug my shoulders but genuinely have no clue who we’d turn to

Some carbon copy I imagine and I actually doubt even Russel Martin would come here now, so far have we lost our way.

I can't see that another manager would have any more impact. Marginal gains at best.

We aren't suddenly going to have a decent striker.

Maybe not. But if we give them the ball in the box they might be able to do something with it.

Instead we ONLY pass it to Mavididi or Fatawu and then pass it sideways and backwards for 5 minutes, before finally passing it into the striker who is now surrounded by 4 players.

The strikers are bad, the system is making them worse. Do you think Vardy would be scoring freely in this system?

Just give it Kingy and be done with it. Pearson can be his assistant who helps via Zoom.

I mean, you joke but he'd be a good appointment for us. Man was seriously under appreciated as a builder and a steady pair of hands.

We all know however that it'll be Russell Martin if we do sack Martí, hence why we should keep him in place. It can and will get worse if he goes.

Actually only half joking. At the time I was not a fan but I think time has shown that our success after him was due in part to the foundations he established. I always love a redemption story.

Yes the regime is disastrous.
But it doesn’t stop fans venting anger at a manager who’s had 1 win in 8 games and is reluctant to have young players in the squad for match days.
Would we have more points with someone else in charge? I think we would.

Last time I looked Cifuentes played Monga, James, Ramsey and Fatawu from the start, all definitely well within the ‘young player’ category. He also brought Silko Thomas off the bench. Are you seriously saying he should be sacked for not having two extra inexperienced 17 year olds on the bench??

Claude Puel anyone...anyone :giggle:

You laugh but his type is what we need. I.e focus on youth and builds a squad. Not saying him but someone with those traits.

I’m saying why isn’t Nelson even on the bench likewise Page and Aluko?
1 win in 8 but persists with experienced shit players in the squad.

How is that on the manager ?

Our strikers have scored one goal between them

If that isn't at all on the manager then there's no point having a manager.

Nah, that such a cop out. He does not put the ball in the net. Give over.

His tactical system is doing a great job of stifling our opportunity to create clear cut chances even when we have a player overload. The players are to blame for missing individual chances and making errors during an attack, the manager is responsible for how we approach an attack, and he's proving to be awful at it.

Not disagreeing, but didn’t I see that we miss a ridiculous amount of chances recently posted? (Cannot recall when it was, maybe I dreamt it!)

We are way off where we need to be, I sincerely hope we do not go up this season, and focus on improving our team with fighters as we currently have very few.

I really miss KDH.  :(

Yeah I think it's a mixture of not creating enough clear cut chances then missing them when we do, costing us dearly at the moment. It feels like every game is on a knife edge, we go 1-0 up and often it feels more likely we will huff and puff then concede rather than go on to finish the game off.

We are not resilient at all, it’s quite pathetic to see. If we are pressed, we struggle to remain our composure and we break down as any sort of unit.

We see the kids come on and they are kids, sometimes good, sometimes not, it’s expected.

But as always, those not playing are the answer where as what we need to the mentality to fight, the answer is not throwing it all in the bin now, but build this over time.

Right so therefore the manager is totally irrelevant and they might as well appoint one of us who would (probably) command a smaller wage than Cifuentes to save money, if I have this right.

|If you played me up front if wouldn`t matter any manager said, I would still be terrible  lol

Yes the manager does the formation, tactics, transitions, its true and we would all like him to do more with what he has, but do we really think  he can tell Daka to score or Ayew to stand up.

Tough gig.

I can remember when people were calling for Martin O'Neill's head.   The main causes to our current position lie elsewhere.  We are in a pickle at the moment, but only 25% of the season gone.
