Im pretty sure weve only had one manager in our history who never played or managed in England before managing Leicester.

We have to move with the times.
Look at Bournemouth, Brighton and Palace.
All with managers with no previous experience in this country.
Same in the championship with Bristol City and QPR.

As much as I’d like Svensson and Rydstrom our recent appointments suggest we never get anyone without previous experience in this country.
Carvahal would be imo a decent choice.
I’m not that convinced on Lage. Wolves seemed to fall away dramatically when he was there.
There’s some decent foreign options out there that are readily available who want to manage in this country. The two that stand out are - Diego Martinez and Adi Hutter.
Hutter is extremely unlikely with where we are but I think Martinez could be attainable.
As I’ve stated the problem is we don’t hire anyone unless they’ve got previous experience in this country.

The size of the pool of managers  will certainly  srink if we end up i  league 1.

I'd like us to appoint a hard, ugly b****r to shake the whole lot out of this torpor and instil some fight and passion.

Bring me some Kevin Muscat.

Plenty on here calling for Will Still, now available

Yeah he’s that good that the Southampton fans are warming to the idea of a Russel Martin return!

Can only think of Steve Evans..

Tbh, he has changed himself for the better after a quick Google to see if he where he was managing..

I don’t know a lot about him.

He was an absolute nutter as a player. Hard as nails.

Desmond is correct about Brendan. We saw this during his last 18 months here. (First 18 months Brendan was fantastic) as soon as things didn’t go his way. He downed tools and we are where we are today due to him! Alienated a host of players, dire recruitment which happened his whole career then blames others for poor standard of players,  finally … played Danny ward for 25+ premier league games! He wanted to be sacked for a payout with us.

how do you relegate a team with Maddison, Barnes, Vardy, tielemans, ndidi! Ruin the morale and atmosphere at the club, and started when Brendan downed tools and gave up.

You relegate them by playing Ward and Amartey😂

If you combined Duncan Ferguson and Roy Keane for the actual football, but made him australian, and threw in a sprinkling of serial killer, youd be getting somewhat close

Sounds exactly what we need.
Problem is these clowns won’t have heard of him so he’s extremely unlikely to be in the running.

Ok. Is there any real possibility we’d go for him?

🤷‍♂️

I just want to see him turn into Pearson 2.0 and do this to Nathan Jones as we spank Charlton at home :D

I’d rather we do it to Cov away and do the same thing to Lampard but I get your point.

We need someone who can organise a defence, we haven't had anyone that could do that for some years. We look so vulnerable on transition, so someone who prefers an high press, aggressive, physical counter-attacking style is also key - we severely lack athleticism.

Needs to be a no nonsense manager, who has plenty of experience in the football leagues and has built the foundations at clubs. Surely we could get Mark Robins out of Stoke - but could we afford him - probably not.

Hutter would be amazing but no chance like you said unfortunately.

Diego Martinez is a good shout and wants to come to England wonder why no one has touched him yet tho ? Did brilliant at Granada but last place wasn’t good was he ?

If we do pull the plug it will be a English based manager I think 😂

Dave Challinor?

I'd take him but got this gut instinct he'd flunk here as well for some reason, which is daft.

Wellens stock has fallen a bit in the last few months but I do think he's quite a no-nonsense type of character and he'd not tolerate a lot of these players.

I feel we have lost the identity of our club, it all feels very plastic, mostly due to players who probably don't want to be here.

I want someone to come in who has some history with us, who understands what this great club is about, or was about.

Richie Wellens for me, plus he worked with the great NP.
