hejammy Posted 25 October 2025 Posted 25 October 2025 Changing the manager won't change things. The whole club needs a revamp, Top needs to sell, the first person out that door should be Rudkin. The whole ethos needs to change. The players are self entitled and a lot of the egotistical with no reason to be so. The whole seagrave situation is bitter sweet, yes we bring in some great talent through the academy but the senior players see it as a luxury resort where they can play a bit of head tennis, table tennis, darts, go for a nice swim, get a state of the art massage and treatment. I'm done with the hierarchy. The whole culture needs to change. 1

Ruud who played BDCR on the wing, benched Buonanotte and banished our best midfielder Winks. He was an absolute disaster. At least Cifuentes is trying to play his most talented players regularly. 2

Winstonthedog Posted 25 October 2025 Posted 25 October 2025 Problem for Marti is ... he has far to many players who think they are to good for the club and the championship .... well for any of you read this let me tell you ... YOUR NOT ... Marti must only pick players who he can influence and listen to him.... and only then can he be judged 1

First rule of management. Win. He needs 5 games, no 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, actually give him the season. No standards mean the fanbase are fine with their own redlines crossed time and time again. We’re genuinely an incredibly lenient fanbase and some on here think we’re Ultras Sur for expecting a frisson of competence. Staggeringly few managers in the modern game start badly and turn it around - citing Ferguson or O’Neil examples are extreme survivorship bias cases. 3
S1DDO Posted 25 October 2025 Posted 25 October 2025 Everyone knows a reset is needed, but some idiots think it can be done in one window and a couple of months. Give him the season then reevaluate

A success this season would be remaining in this division rather than league 1 (I'm assuming we get a points deduction of 6 or more pts)
winteriscoming Posted 25 October 2025 Author Posted 25 October 2025 Not that I think he’ll come to us but Mark Robins is someone we should be looking at. Majority of what Cov are doing now is down to him not Lampard. Doing well at Stoke and if he was foreign he’d be more highly regarded. 3 1
MattFox Posted 25 October 2025 Posted 25 October 2025 Martin definitely gets an interview at least under our current ownership
ashbyj Posted 25 October 2025 Posted 25 October 2025 Maybe it wouldn’t have done no harm holding on to Bryan Barry Murphy.
Scotch Posted 25 October 2025 Posted 25 October 2025 If Marti WAS to get, I could potentially see Derek McInnes being approached.
ramboacdc Posted 25 October 2025 Posted 25 October 2025 Realistically we dont have the money to get rid. We may be about to hit a mid table fight, or bottom half if we ended up with a point deduction, but we couldn't buy a striker in 3 months, you think we can pull manager severance and buyout money out our arse? I am at the point of accepting we are in for some mediocre seasons for a good while. I miss seasons with no drama!

And however many million? The manager is extremely important in a rebuild and Cifuentes’ teams don’t score enough because the style of play is too blunt. Giving him 2 years will be 2 wasted years. Good managers hit the ground running.

Popular Post JimJams Posted 25 October 2025 Popular Post Posted 25 October 2025 When speaking on potential new managers and how attractive we are, I think people are forgetting the massive issue we'll be having next season. Whichever division we're in. Currently it looks like it'll be the Championship. We'll be losing our only decent fullback in Ricardo. Our entire first choice midfield consists of 2 loan players, one which will go back to Burnley and one which we may not go through with a purchase of if we are stuck in this division. And Winks who will leave after his contracts up. We'll have no strikers on the books at all. Even shit like Soumare will be off. And whilst that might be a good riddance situation, we still need players and their departures aren't generating revenue. If we have to make some money our only real saleable asset for any decent fee is Fatawu. So in order to rebuild that side we'd need a hell of a lot of signings and that would probably come from selling arguably our best player. To stand still. In the championship. Vestegaard and Faes will have a year left and no real resale value, so we are probably stuck with them, and if not, we're not making anything on them. There's a case that some of those will be replaced by youngsters. Aluko for Riccy maybe. But then we're not replacing Thomas or VK then. Page for Ramsey maybe. So we need to buy 2 or 3 forwards and a couple of midfielders. We'll need to spend a lot of money, money we probably don't have, or get a lot of loans in, which is a short term solution. Promotion is pretty vital in order to bring in the money to reshape the squad. But without a goalscorer, and perhaps the opportunity to acquire one, I'm not sure many managers will fancy it. Not if they're on an upward trajectory in their career at present. It's too much of a risk. There is so much that needs to be done with this squad in the long term and you wouldn't bank on any manager being given both the time and resources to sort it out. 5

worthosoriginals Posted 25 October 2025 Posted 25 October 2025 Not slott look at the crap prat tonight
lookwhaticando Posted 25 October 2025 Posted 25 October 2025 Just give it Hugh Laurie until the end of the season, he’s used to walking into and right back out of a shitshow.
