Would you boycott?

  1. 1. Season ticket holders - are you willing to boycott the next 3 games? (i.e. not turn up at all?)

Be honest, how many of you (particularly season ticket holders) are willing to boycott a few games for the full match?
Appreciate the flask-drinkers amongst us would never be able to not turn up and clap.  - But if we want some serious change and for our voice to be heard, how many are willing to boycott the next 3 home games?

Feels like doing the plane in isolation isn't enough.  So let's chat it through - who's willing to not re-sell their ticket to the club and not turn up for the next 3 games?

It might end up being quite disjointed. Not to say it's a bad suggestion, more that a simple, effective, unifying gesture which doesn't require fans to part with something they've already paid good money for might get a stronger response. I saw someone suggesting the idea of bringing/giving out cheap whistles, and while I don't know whether that's practical or not, I could imagine it working. To organise a large scale sacrifice by not coming - and there must be plenty of fans who held on during previous questionable regimes like that of Shipman, or the final days of Elsom, and wonder what's so different now - could be tough.

The club is a shambles, but the money we all fork out for season tickets means its too expensive to just not turn up.

That's like paying for a steak and getting dog s*** instead but then still opting to eat itlol

TBH Not turning up will do nothing unless you can get 10k plus to do it. 250/300 will do nothing and you've already paid.

All of the singing section and as many others as possible coming back in after 10 mins then singing Top Out will be a bigger hit.

Chances are you will get a damb site more doing it than not turning up at all.

Top has this framed in his office.

Unfortunately, that's just the reality of the situation. Boycotting games just won't happen for anyone other than those who decide not to buy tickets who don't already have season tickets, and its been spoken about on here many, many times.

Top still gets our season ticket money, whether we're there or not. If refunds were available, it might be a different story.

Without wanting to sound too dismissive, if we as a fan base can’t use our voices first and foremost then what chance are you going to have in a boycott. Fair play to the players in walking over to face the criticism of the section  as I didn’t think they would. But seeing g2 stand on the stairwell and many were clapping then it will fall on deaf ears. I understand people can do what they want but to applaud that takes the utter PISS!!!!!

Plenty of people aren't going anyway. Bigger for me is that very few seem to want to take their place. The interest is dropping all the time.

No longer have one due to the rats at the club but it's a blessing - quite gladly. I'd actually go as far as to say you couldn't pay me to go on Tuesday. The only thing that would have tempted me is if it was likely to get very ugly.

Not sure if it’s already been mentioned, but if season ticket holders miss too many games (i.e. don’t scan at the turnstiles) you are putting your renewal at risk.

While people like myself want to protest, I don’t want to risk my ability to retain my season ticket for future years by doing it.

I’d rather go, scan in, and walk straight back out, than not attend at all.

Warning, to boycott properly you must scan your ticket through the turnstile and then walk back out the stadium, otherwise the club will eventually revoke your ST.

It is imperative you boycott this way otherwise its useless.

If I'm honest, I'd rather stand in the concourse for the first 5 mins and then support the lads rather than full on boycott. The turning up and arriving late will still create a good impact if done by enough.

Most of our ground does this anyway

No they wouldn't, there's no criteria to turn up or scan your ticket.

If there was I'd already have my ST revoked as I've hardly gone for the past couple of years as it's a waste of time.

I won't be there at the KP for the next few home games, my own personal boycott started yesterday, got better things to do with my time.

How do you know the club aren't selling your seat?

Why would they sell my seat?

I've also got people who sit near me, if there was some random sat in my seat in the middle of them they'd probably ask who this weirdo was.

You're either wrong or spouting crap to stop people boycotting.

Prefer taking our seats after 15 minutes to be honest, let them start the game with thousands of empty seats.

Having said that, I am very close to stopping going, think I have a couple of games left in me before I just give it a miss.

Also happy to demonstrate with my home made signs in the ground  as I have done previously.

Nonsense!!

I think Sheffield Wednesday's away crowd made a point by not coming up until a certain time. I think maybe missing the first 16 minutes for the next 3 home games would make a point, and mark an escalation in our general discontent towards the hierarchy.

Im trying to save people from doing it the wrong way. My mate is from up north and is a Man Utd ST holder, the club warned him they will revoke his ST if he misses a certain amount of matches.
