Based on what? All we have to go on is our track record, which for the most part is overpaying wages and offering contracts that are too long.

There is no evidence or track record that we'll put a "pay as you play" package together.

Sorry, It was an opinion - not factual about what will happen - I don't work for the club giving an insight to clubs decision making

You are right our board won't be clever enough to offer a low salary with higher bonues based on appearances... but in my opinion that has to be the approach if we are signing Antonio

It always makes me wonder  when information like this is handed out in public. Continuously. It feels like his agent is  fishing for a better club

On this one, I’d be shocked if that’s the case. If he doesn’t back himself to be better than what we already have then coming to us means he’s punching well above where he should be.

What would you be doing of you weren't getting paid?

Until he signs a contract his going to be selling himself.

He’s a workhorse type player that will graft and make the opposition know they’ve been in a game.

That said, he nearly died a year ago, broke his femur in four places and is lucky to be walking, let alone wanting to play football again.

He’s still going to be better than Caranza I’d imagine. It just depends how fit he’s kept himself.

This is assuming we are looking at him as a forward. He has played right back as well!

36 soon and nearly died a year ago

Fully expect to see us sign him on a 3 year contract worth £60k a week

That being said, 12 months ago he was probably still more mobile that Vesty

Anything on this at all?

Just feels like we’re going to announce this at the end of Jan as our only signing.

Presumably training with us until fit enough, then we’ll sign him and start paying

Assume they are trying to pop Carranza back on the Eurostar and then will spend his wages and few times over for Antonio

Yeah he will get a nice 90k a week 3 year contract, and wont need to pay any money for him as a free "bonus"  and the happy clappers will be brainwashed into thinking the saviour is here!

Im all for giving him a chance if he genuinely looks fit and hungry enough,  lets not get our pants pulled down again, however we all know rudkin will be involved!

We won’t be giving him a big contract, he can’t really demand one

Nah, they'll keep it short. 3 year incentive based for the 4th year.

decent listen whilst we’re waiting for the next BSLB pod to drop… granted all this was probably recorded before his accident but that being said he seems like the type of model pro you’d want the youngsters to be learning off… bit at 50 mins when he’s talking about the managers Bilic seems very Marti in the sense he’s explaining with being too soft and in turn him talking about player professionalism effecting team professionalism seemed like usas a team over the last few years! Shows one bad egg can poison a whole dressing room
