I don’t think there’s a doubt that he’s out number one choice though. Which is the big problem really because it’s simply not the direction we wanted the club to go in. Whether he accepts or not, we now know that’s the road  the club want us to continue down…. It’s just all more evidence that we’ve learnt nothing and have no desire to change course.

what’s most alarming, is that if you read between the lines it likely means top thinks the issue was that the managers we hired were the reason for our downfall and not everything else. I think a full on reimagining should have been on the cards after crashing us to our lowest ever point

Spot on.

Your long term analysis for our direction I fear is unfortunately correct.

'Kvnt' Top on the other hand is it either too arrogant to admit Rudkin and himself are fallible and are plain and simple the route cause of our woes and the club current predicament, or too thick to understand this. (Personally I think it's a combination of both)

He won't change his view point on playing like a B-Tec  Man City, as to do so after so long without any real sustained success (Enzoball at the start offered positive results untill it was 'sussed out' and, if we are all being honest scraped over the line for promotion) would need him to admit he's got it, and continuing to get it.wrong...

And whilst I think he's as thick as sh1t from one of his beloved Polo Nag,'s, he isn't that thick.

Graeme Souness had a successful spell as Southampton manager.

We'd need to give him total control over transfers.

:yesyes::yesyes:

To think he was ridiculed over the Ali Dia transfer. Bloke looked like Pele compared to Daka and Ayew

McKenna stepping down probably has a baring on our appointment as I’m sure Russell will want to talk to Ipswich and his agent will be touting.

Great if it means he don’t come here but if he is #1 target it just puts everything back until Ipswich decide who they want before saying no to Russell.

Wishful thinking... Russell Martin played for Norwich for about a decade. And no Premier League club with half a brain would touch him :D

He won't be considered for Ipswich.

I still reckon it’ll be someone who hasn’t been mentioned yet.
Not suggesting it’ll be anyone better.
Given our recent history that’s what tends to happen.

We definitely put names out as a smokescreen. However on this occasion I've got a bad feeling Darren Ferguson was the smokescreen and it's going to be Russell Martin.

I reckon it’ll be Ruben Selles.

Right, so it's been a number of weeks....yet other clubs have sorted their manager out in a week from one to the other.

This club... honestly. If it was going to take weeks, start the process early and declare that Rowett will leave the club. You should have a succession plan in place, not a scatter gun affect.

Dear lord Rudders, how are you in a job of so much power you twonk!

No wonder this mob like boring, time consuming football as this is in line with the lack of pace and urgency they work at

Why does it take us so long?
Especially when there’s more chance whoever we hire will be out of work anyway.
I’d say it’s because they have absolutely no idea who they want and probably the majority don’t want to join us with the financial mess we are in.

Anyone any good will have other options to explore before committing to a Div 1 club. We will be a club of last resort.

Well Top's jet is currently on route to London so hopefully it means something is close. knowing the absolute shambles our leadership is, it's probably initial discussions on who to approach or to hand Russell Martin a 5 year deal ensuring a nice pay off after 6 months.

Challinor rumoured to be going to Sheffield Wednesday.

That would weaken our chances of promotion, well done Wendy.

Doesn't seem like a good journalist at all, he only understands it because others have written it. Won't have any information of his own, other than poor opinions about signing Meslier for Martin or over inflated transfer fees.
