At least those player comments after this game will change from “We have 11 cup finals left( (Jakob)…. we have 8 cup finals left (Thomas)…. we have 4 cup finals left (Jakob).  to something like “we will be giving our all because we’re professionals”… or more truthfully “We’ve just not been good enough”.

Actions and words lads….

Riccy was the only one I thought was trying against Swansea. Didn’t play well, but tried .

Did you see their goal?  Best example of pretending to mark a player I have ever seen.

Don't know if I've looked forward to a game less tbh. Going to be hairy for those going as well I feel, it's a feisty place to go at the best of times and they'll be celebrating staying up to boot.

I thought Luke’s pathetic attempt at fouling the lad who dribbled and then Winks giving up as their number 9 went to shoot was far worse.

Portsmouth to be 2 goals ahead at HT - 9/1

Portsmouth to be 3 goals ahead at HT - 33/1

Portsmouth to be 4 goals ahead at HT - 150/1

All over them. This is a game we could properly tumble in.

Red card is a good shout too. Winks or Thomas.

And Winks, after all the effort to run back from their box , didn’t anticipate their lad might pass to the scorer , so Winks had slowed his running!
LT feeble again- that was the moment we needed him to do his trademark jump on the oppos back !

Watched the game yesterday. Wouldn't it be lovely for our experienced players to put in a performance like this? No one just standing on the ball in defence. Direct attacking play. Intelligent set pieces. Solid defending. A midfield that protects the defence. Physical players up for it.

Surely its cheating just to not let the opposition constantly walk through your midfield?

John Mousinho is a great manager, I was hoping at one stage we could go for him, but anyway he's probably going to get the Ipswich job if Kieran McKenna leaves Ipswich for Bournemouth.

They still have the ‘we are gonna have to take a look in the mirror’ one in the bag.

If Pompey win are they guarnteed safety?

Guaranteed to finish above us (51 points), as we would only be able to get a maximum of 50 points with 3 games remaining.

After watching last nights game we don’t stand a chance. They outplayed Ipswich by being a second quicker, more aggressive on everything they did

imo well concede early and heads will drop - vesktegaard or lascelles will get a sloppy red after making a poor tackle from being slow and well lose by 3 goals or more easily - it'll be a rough day out for those in the away end

22/23 we went to St James park and back against the wall - embarrassingly scraped a point because Newcs couldn’t finish - nothing to do with our defending. It was also embarrassing that after a couple of seasons of challenging for the top 6 and winning the fa cup, we had reduced ourselves to a newly promoted side - with virtually the same squad,

We will now being doing that v Pompey. We will go full defensive mode hoping to luck out.

**** Top man!

Physical players is the Key to most of the successful teams. Unlike the squad we have, a bunch of weaklings apart from Okoli and Lasselles.

We need to take the size and strength of players into account when rebuilding the squad.

Watching the highlights back of the 6-1 there under Sousa. I think it could be very similar, we will absolutely fold the second something goes against us.
