All this noise of a points deduction will encourage the players to put the performances in and get the points they need. That's how it works, right?

3 points would be a result for us

It would and I know it’s a long shot but beat Pompey on Saturday and results go our way we could be out of the relegation zone. Yes it’s a long shot as these lot let us down time after time.

Percy saying before the end of this month, so will be applied between the 45th and 46th games.

Probably be a point I imagine, although not sure they've ever gone lower than 2 points.

Not that it matters to us...

Even if we win (which we won't)  we would not be out the relegation zone.

We could be if the points are imposed by saturday

Yes that’s it and also psychologically will play on the minds of the players. Here’s hoping anyway

But they aren't going to be as the hearing is later this month.

I don't want us to stay up if it means West brom go down as a result of the points deduction (and we miraculously decide to win games). We deserve to go down due to years of ineptitude. I question the morality of giving West Brom a points deduction this late in the season, especially considering how long ours took

We just need to avoid going down at any cost

Unlike our rabble, a potential points deduction will probably rally the WBA players, and they'll end up winning 2/3 of their final games to ensure they stay up.

West Brom's new owners have tried to get things right as well, even when you have relatively competent people in place things go wrong. they've readjusted and sacked multiple people.

We've just ploughed and promoted the architects of our failure!

Think we have to be a bit selfish. I’d rather stay up and reset next season in the championship than be rotting in the lower leagues for years to come and potentially not having a club to follow

Reset 🤣🤣🤣

Because Top will get it right next year won’t he ?

Give me strength !
The penny just doesn’t drop with our fans does it !

Blackburn lose to Cov

we then have 2 games in hand . We win both and beat them on last game of season to stay up

Reality

We lose 4 -0 to Pompey and a 0-1 home defeat by Hull confirms our relegation

‘If’ we stay up there will be no reset, it will be more of the same. If we go down, there will be some forced changes but it still won’t be the reset that some are expecting. We need to accept that going down this time will be a million miles away from how it was last time.

Has there still been nothing official about this?

My take on it is that the investigation ,by the  team at the EFL , hasn’t yet reached the stage where a charge is ready to be made. In effect at this time is the league not just accepting WBAs numbers

It seems that the issue revolves around interest on loans made to the club by the ex owner. As we witnessed in both the Everton PSR charges interest payments often are matters that cause disputes  between the  judiciary bodies and club’s auditors when it comes to how interest is apportioned in the PSR submissions.

Thanks. I seem to recall both parties releasing statements when we were charged on both occasions and found it strange it was reported by the media, West Brom posted a comment but the EFL have said nothing.
