There's just a bit too much going on. It's really busy to look at. 

 

The gold is a bit too striking, the scale of the Villa and Adidas logos is wrong (we have the same problem with the weirdly massive running fox) and it looks like they're wearing a normal Villa home kit underneath because the collar and cuffs just don't quite work. 

 

I dunno. Maybe it's just not a good photo. 

 

Agreed, just a feeling they're trying a little too hard, when a classic kit would feel effortless.
