Claudio Fannieri Posted 15 August Posted 15 August I have a fear that RM will be ‘requested’ to include certain want away players to help move them on for the best price possible, we saw it last season under Marti and how it helped derail our season us. I can genuinely see a lot of the good work and positivity of pre season being eroded and undone by potential interference from upstairs.
trooky Posted 15 August Posted 15 August 433 Stolarcyk Joseph Soutaar Faes Thomas Alves Braybrooke Page Burns Bristric Chaplin Defense is a worry, but IMO Faes is a much better footballer than either of Souttar or Okoli and Aluko isn't a CB. I don't want to watch Okoli tryong to pass the ball 200+ per game.

Rubbersoul Posted 15 August Posted 15 August Because I am a miserable ficker and it’ll take a lot for Leicester to win me back round I see us struggling today. Happy new season 1

PhillippaT Posted 15 August Posted 15 August (edited) I'm expecting to be completely disappointed by the team he selects, but if we win, then... If we don't then Brussel Spr-OUT-s? /s Edited 15 August by PhillippaT
W7Fox Posted 15 August Posted 15 August Mad that Faes has gone from Belgium/Premier League starter to league one via the Champions League. 2 1

You would think that would be bad but I've just been informed by the Club Shop that after many years of getting our home programmes transported to the far north that they are not offering subscriptions anymore. So after over 50 years of collecting it may end here.........

Aussie Flash Posted 15 August Posted 15 August As for TV for some obscure reason we have the game live in Aus on BeinSport.

El Khannous at Preston, Winks was another one, Faes wanted out in the summer, once the window shut we still had a number of ‘assets’ on big wages still kicking around that had to be reintegrated to try and retain some sort of market value in the hope we could shift them in January. it was no coincidence that our two best runs of the season was when these feckers were not involved in the XI. My fear is this season history will repeat itself and we will end up in a similar situation. There is no way Rudkin and Aiyawatt will happily sit there watching £100k per week in wages rotting away on the sidelines. They will want to see them playing and retaining some level of transfer value in the hope of getting rid in January and recouping some more of the losses.

Piggyp Posted 15 August Posted 15 August We all want to see “Positive picks” today. Start as you mean to go on Martin please. 1
Donwebbio Posted 15 August Posted 15 August We need to be switched on and decisive at set pieces in both boxes. We need to control the centre of the pitch and not be bullied. Nothing stupid. Do that and we should be a able to control the game and gwt 3 points on the board. At the very least I hope we see Braybrooke, Joseph/Aluko, and Alves in some capacity.

I think the swamp is being drained but there are a few turds that won't quite flush. Faes is a strange one as I thought he would be the first to go.
Claudio Fannieri Posted 15 August Posted 15 August (edited) Here’s what I hope to see picked for today Stolarcryk JJ Aluko Okoli McFarlane Brsybrooke Page Cullen Burns Bristic Watson subs McCarthy Thomas Souttar (in case of emergency) Skipp Alves Howell Reid Skipp and Souttar included to give us some emergency cover on the bench but still expect them both to go before the end of the transfer window. The others left out are ones I also expect to leave. We desperately need a defender in and then I think it will be a one out one in policy. i have also excluded the lads who played last night who could have provided cover on the bench instead of the likes of Skipp, Reid and Souttar such as Gray, Carr, Neale & Hutchinson Edited 15 August by Claudio Fannieri

Doesnt change my opinion that he is way too lightweight to be considered a genuine medium term option at CB in the football league. His height is also a tad lacking. His skills are much more suited to being a wingback, either side.

GrobyLCFC31 Posted 15 August Posted 15 August Apparently the team is: Begovic Choudhury (C) Faes Vestegaard Kristiansen Winks Skipp B-D Reid Ayew Mavididi Daka In all seriousness seeing 5-6 of these names either not at the club anymore or seemingly not in the picture this season is incredibly refreshing!!! Get behind the lads! 🦊 2
