Ric Flair Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 How would people feel if Ricketts was the striker Levein bought in?
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 How would people feel if Ricketts was the striker Levein bought in? I would feel it was a reasonable signing. Although I would want another CF bought in as well if we were to sign rickets. didn't score loads of goals at Cardiff did he.
Jimmy Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 he's big, powerful and is scoring goals, couldnt really complain too much
Sly Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 How would people feel if Ricketts was the striker Levein bought in? He's better than the current crop of strikers we have, hasn't he even got an England cap????
Jimmy Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 1 and never got into another squad after leaving bolton
Ric Flair Posted 5 January 2006 Author Posted 5 January 2006 His loan spell at Cardiff finishes this week and Leeds want them to pay more of his wages which Cardiff cannot do so he'll be returning to Leeds. They obviously don't need or want him and foxfanzine have rumoured he's being linked with us. He has scored 5 times for Cardiff this season, nothing special and they are doing remarkably better than us.
drew Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 I watched him play about 6 weeks ago, he looks like a lethargic De Vries.
Polyphonic Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 I watched him play about 6 weeks ago, he looks like a lethargic De Vries. God Help Us All
Shum Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 With our current predicament, we'll find it very difficult to bring real quality in. (IMO)
woznotwos Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 there must be loads of better options than this guy surely!!!
Hitesh Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 there must be loads of better options than this guy surely!!! yeah, Henry and Ronaldo but they wont come to Leicester! Think realistic. We are near the bottom of the league, the fans are against the manager and we have no money so who would want to come to a strugglinh club? Im not saying that Ricketts will be the player we need but i wouldnt mind to see a player like him. He is a realistic target.
drew Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 I can assure you De Vries looks the better player.... We need a striker than can: 1. Jump 2. Win the Ball 3. Control It 4. Lay it off
Hitesh Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 I can assure you De Vries looks the better player....We need a striker than can: 1. Jump 2. Win the Ball 3. Control It 4. Lay it off and put it in the back of the fechin net!
Ikon_Klow Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 He is useless!!! I live and work in Leeds and my firm sends me off to Elland Road regulary with clients to "entertain them". Ricketts is an absolute donkey! He is so fat he looks pregnant and has a terrible attitude. He even laughed once when he missed sitter. He basically did well at Bolton and then got a juicy contract at the Boro which set him up for life. Boro are still paying some of his wages. Rubbish
seventy_times_7 Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 I think we can realistically hope to attract better players than Ricketts to the club. Lethargic sums him up perfectly. We need somebody who is going to be hungry and eager to impress.
Leicester_Mad Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 I can assure you De Vries looks the better player.... We need a striker than can: 1. Jump 2. Win the Ball 3. Control It 4. Lay it off i wouldnt give a shit if they couldnt do any of that, if they could put the ball in the bastard net
drew Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 I think Hume and hammond would play well with a forward that can do those 4 things. Lets face it i doubt we will sign a prolific scorer so get a target man that can actually play and get the occasional few.
Anish Posted 5 January 2006 Posted 5 January 2006 I doubt we could attract any promising players - we are in dire straits so who would want to come here? Ricketts is well past his best but he's the calibre of players Levein will have to look at cos I doubt any decent strikers would be interested in us.

The People's Hero Posted 6 January 2006 Posted 6 January 2006 I watched him play about 6 weeks ago, he looks like a lethargic De Vries. Do you mean he is lethargic even in comparison to de Vries? Or are you under the impression that MdV isn't lethargic?
drew Posted 6 January 2006 Posted 6 January 2006 Yes the first one, in other words they're both lethargic and Ricketts is even worse! It was meant as a bit of a joke. I'll get my coat.
Ricey Posted 6 January 2006 Posted 6 January 2006 Ricketts is worse than what we have, he'll be so frustrating to watch especially in a relegation battle.
Bert Posted 6 January 2006 Posted 6 January 2006 It's just show how easy a fall is doesn't it? From being an England and regular premiership footballer, to being a misfit in the championship with Cardiff, and to think he scored the winning goal against us in our league game!!
