Ric Flair Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 50 hours and 10 minutes until kick-off. Let's get this bitch started. This is our year.
Master Fox Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 50 hours and 10 minutes until kick-off. Let's get this bitch started. This is our year. I'm not so sure, but I would like to think we could win. I have my doubts about our capabilities to win on the big stage. England always bottle it or something terrible goes against us, I’m expecting more of the same.

We have shown all the ingredients that it might be different this year and that's playing poorly and getting away with it. We never used to get any luck, is this now our year? Probably not, but there isn't any reason why we shouldn't do it. Get Ray Winstone in to fire them up.

We've got the players in our team to beat anyone but with England you just cannot predict what will happen. If England do get through it will be absolutely fantastic, I'm cautiously optimistic they can achieve it.

I'm not predicting anything but all i'm envisaging is pure euphoria at 5.45pm on saturday so unless i'm sick in the head and enjoy a Portugal victory, it must be our time.

Either that or Extra time makes you very happy.
Dr The Singh Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 No penalty's, a win in normal time would be superb!!!
Master Fox Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 No penalty's, a win in normal time would be superb!!! I would take any sort of win.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 I'm just packing for a trip to Sweden (Malmo). Will be watching in a bar down by the train station called the King's Head (if they remember to switch the telly on - that's if it's on in Sweden????). Otherwise, will be watching the score on my internet linked phone. Coming back in time for the semi on Wednesday.
SystonFox Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 i think we will win 2-0 scoring just before HT to settle some nerves and a gerrard screamer after he plays awfull after about 75 mins to surely seal it.
Knighton Matt Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 Will I get hate PMs if the spirit of Nelly Furtado wins the day for the Portugeezers?
Ricey Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 Will I get hate PMs if the spirit of Nelly Furtado wins the day for the Portugeezers? I already have mine prepared.
Libertine Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 I already have mine prepared. Pfft. Mine were prepared years ago, with me being the son of Nostradamus and all.
Daggers Posted 29 June 2006 Posted 29 June 2006 I believe victory is assured. Everyman must do his duty. Behind me Essex.

Ric Flair Posted 30 June 2006 Author Posted 30 June 2006 I'm getting so nervous, I can't concentrate at work. I'm going home to play on Pro Evo.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 June 2006 Posted 30 June 2006 I'm getting so nervous, I can't concentrate at work. I'm going home to play on Pro Evo. Got the afternoon off again. Germs v Argies should be a good appetiser. Italy v Ukraine is like the bit in between courses where you sit back and have a chat and let the fatties finish off the rest of everyone else's starters. England v Portugal is of course the main event and then if you've got any energy left you can nibble on France v Brazil late in the day. I'm hungry.
