They're not in any order are they? Da Vinci Code is the sequel of Angels and Demons Deception Point is not about Robert Langdon, just a different character with different story I believe

The more and more i read, the more it began to get on my tits. Not only is it a virtual rewrite of the Da Vinci Code but the way that Langdon says something and then spends 2 pages explaining what he's just said. The true identity of the villian was totally obvious the second he was introduced and the last 30 pages are just boring. 5.5/10

James. Posted 14 October 2009 Posted 14 October 2009 I read this while flying to and from Morocco. It was good, but not quite sure it deserved the Booker prize. Certainly an interesting perspective on India and its rampant growth. Easy to read as well so would recommend it for someone looking for a quick but rewarding read.

Read it, I read it about a month ago and read it again the next week, absolutely fantastic. Moral of the story: Hedonism is fantastic unless you're connected to a magic painting. (not really). Anyone read the Red Riding Quartet? Brutal, intense and poetic, literally brilliant, just finishing up "1983" and it's all starting to come together. Oh and I've just bought "The Triumph of the Political Class" by Peter Oborne.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Having just finished the first two series i am now reading the book 'Darkly Dreaming Dexter' by Jeff Lindsay. The tv series has me totally hooked and i highly recommend watching it if you can spare the time. My favourite book would have to be The Watchman by Chris Ryan or Sniper One by Dan Mills. Enigma by Robert Harris is also fairly good, as is C.Q.B by Mike Curtis and First into Action by Duncan Falconer. Though if you're not into the military genre then you might want to give these a miss I have to admit i did find the Harry Potter books a good read too
