Milan Mandaric has targeted leicester!

milan said he was going to invest the whole £32million he got from portsmouth in leicester so why is he quibbling about 1, 2, 3 million? there is more to this than we'll ever know. Why does everybody always assume it's the boards fault?

P.S. i'm in favour of the bid.

Thats 1,2,3 million more to spend on players when he gets control.

I have a feeling a bid will be submitted this week, maybe saturday, and that he will have control by early Jan. Hopefully anyway.

you never know just have to wait to find out or even could be on lcfc website or even in the paper ?

Well I wouldn't bet on it being on the LCFC Website first.

He didn't say that at all. He said he can't take the money back to America so he might aswell invest it in another football club and his choice is Leicester City. Whether he'll invest all of that £32 million is debatable.

It funny that people are trying ever single different angel to try and get some concrete info on what actually's going on ? who's doing what ? and when its going to be done by ?

Personally i think that the club are being very professional in keep all the details confidential.

One possible negative thing about MM is that he can be rather publicity seeking at times.

I think for the benefit of the fans, and especially the players, the best way to go about these types of things is behind closed doors.

Lets all site tight, enjoy christmas, and from what i understand, expect some rather good news just before the new year.

Deadline?

Wtf are you talking about?

Do you mean they fancied spicing it up abit so decided on a self-imposed deadline?

Ridiculous.

Nothing would surprise me knowing our directors <_<

takeovers have to be the most slow moving fustrating thing, i know theres a lot to do but bloody hell can't they just get on with it, or at least keep us a little bit more regulary posted on developments

Some people seriously need to actually read this thread. The amount of tripe we're still seeing posted is unbelievable.

i don't know if you're talking about me there but what i'm trying to say is that none of us really know what the hold up is and speculation is pointless. having said that, pointless specualation is what this thread is all about.

Due Dilligence ....

I will put my head on the chopping block here.......

*Saturday at barnsley we will get the final confirmation of the takeover after he has looked at our books.....

*Saturday at Cardiff we will have news that the takeover is complete.

Happy xmas

I second that emotion. Particularly the nonsense about MM investing £32 million in LCFC. In reality, MM will put up about 25% of his own capital to acquire LCFC equity. MM's iniital hard offer for these shares is £3.2m (with a further £3.2m 'back half' subject to conditions). This means that MM will probably initially just put up £750,000 of his own money for the club - the remainder will be borrowed (secured against his own assets).

As for transfer funds, I would be surprised if total club expenditure in the January window will be more than £2m. At least half of the value of any player(s) will be deferred. Possibly up to half of any payments will come out of LCFC's existing reserves. Half the remainder may come from MM himself and the rest he will borrow again.

This means MM will shell out the princely sum of £1m for his takeover of LCFC. Which is the reason why he's buying us. We are the football steal of the century.

interesting post amongst a lot of drivel.

don't forget though that while the initial investment may be small what we're looking for is sustained investment over a period of years.

yeah so me may come cheap but the buck doesn't stop when (if  ) the takeover is completed. milan has ambitions and he'll need to stump up more than this £1m you cited if we are to get back in to the premiership (which has to be his primary goal).

At last he's back.

MM is a sly old dog, a clever one at that. He'll make a lot of money out of us, but i'm quite happy for him to do so. Shrewd, but knows what he wants and success is high on his agenda.

Considering you've got your fingers in more pies than frey bentos, can you enlighten us to how the take-over's going? It's likely you know.

If LCFC is such a bargain and a steal why don't the current board show some ambition and do something. They seemed to be more interested in giving out free tickets and giving the impression that we have a massive fan base!

Well if Mandaric sees the ground full it's going to impress him isn't it?

Well according to Hull fans, that paper and the club hate each other and often write stuff to piss the club off, so it's likely to be pure speculation rather than hard facts.

On this occasion I don't. But I haven't picked up on anything in the media which might allow MM to 'retreat with honour' from the deal. And, at the time of writing, we are still within the time frame.

And ask youself this: where else could MM buy a football club with a brand hew stadium, state of the art training facilities and academy requiring only a moderate amount of modification (!) to challenge for a play off place to the richest league in the world (estimated first season revenue of £45m) for only £1m up front?
