Milan Mandaric has targeted leicester!

Papers are saying that's he still interested in us and possibly Wolves. I wonder who would be more likely to give him the better investment? We'd cost less to buy, but Wolves might be nearer to success than us. Having said that, Wolves have been a poisoned chalice for years. People have thrown money at it and failed, plus Mandaric bought Pompey out when they were in admin for peanuts and he'd get Leicester for about £5-6 million I would have thought maybe even less if the fans pressured the board in to going.

It needs to happen.

I might start a chant of Milan Mandaric's Blue Army tomorrow afternoon to gauge opinion.

Is anyone sitting near the corporate lot tomorrow? Get the ball on the road.....................

I dunno where I'm sitting yet. I shall endeavour to find out. If it's anywhere near the middle of the West Stand I might have to indulge in some anti-McDonalds "you capitalist bastards"-type behaviour. :thumbup:

Just before the seemingly inevitable happens I'd like Kelly - for once - to put our very best team in the field, tell them to press forwards and show exactly how good we might have been for the whole of this season.

That side would have read:

Logan;

Stearman, McCarthy, Kisnorbo, Sheehan;

Gradel, Hume/Johnson, Wesolowski, Porter;

O'Grady, Fryatt.

Based on the minimum five extra points I reckon that side would have collected we'd have been fifth at this stage and improving every game they played together.

No wonder someone like Mandaric can't wait to get a slice of the action. I suppose, as usual it'll be like St Pancras station - all change - and what a pity. And a bigger pity we've performed so cautiously for so long and brought about this whole sad situation.

If Wolves have anything like the potential coming through that we've got I'll be amazed.

RIP Leicester City - you'll soon be just another seat on the speculators' Magic Roundabout.

Don't be such a pessimist Thracian!!!

I don't thin anyone is foolish enough to ignore the benefits of 'home grown' talent. Mandarics millions may 'up the bar'' but the likes of COG and Weso etc would still come through IMO!!!!

For the record I'm not particularly arsed about Mandaric as a person or a businessman one way or the other but the current situation is getting scary, the amount of free and reduced tickets on offer and the lack of funds for replacement players.

How many times do we have to hear the same old same old?

Apparently there's a job going in Leeds and you just might be the man for it. (I don't mean Janx's recruitment either)

MILAN'S GONE... BUT NOT FOR LONG

MILAN Mandaric stepped down last night as Portsmouth chairman after eight hectic years in charge, paving the way for him to buy another English club.

Mandaric resigned from his post as the club's figurehead, a role given to him after owner Alexandre Gaydamak bought out his remaining 49 per cent stake in the summer.

The Serbian millionaire will now search for a club in the Football League to invest part of his £32million pay-off.

Mandaric, 67, who has been linked with Midlands rivals Wolves and Leicester, said: "Monday's match against Bolton will be my last as chairman of Portsmouth.

"It will be an emotional and sad moment for me.

"But I was in the game before I came to Portsmouth and I would be a liar if I said this club would me my last.

"English football is the best and I want to stay involved in it. Portsmouth will always be in my heart, wherever I go."

Mandaric bought Pompey in the summer of 1998 and transformed them from Championship strugglers to lead them into the Premiership three years ago. He hit the headlines with his much publicised spat with Harry Redknapp, which led to the manager resigning in November 2004.

Mandaric risked the wrath of fans by reappointing Redknapp last December and the move paid off as Pompey avoided relegation.

Franco-Russian businessman Gaydamak bought a half share in the club at the end of last year before completing a full takeover on the eve of this season.

It is. It also says on the net that Mandaric has previously dismissed he's interested in Wolves, but he's never commented on the Leicester link. :thumbup:

BREAKING NEWS

Ultra reacts to Mandaric's departure from Pompey;

Do you think that the club might take this in to account? Afterall, they can't go upsetting their most loyal, committed and greatest fan can they?

If fans wanna see City competing in the Premiership, stability and hopefully gunning for Europe in a few years, then get Mandaric. He could be our 'saviour' !!

Portsmouth are obviously the epitome of stability. For those who've watched less than one full season of football, anyway.

And gunning for Europe? Just how many Eurocrooks does Mandaric know who are begging to shunt money into English football in a vain desire for acceptability?

Without investment and a new board, we're going nowhere. END OF !! :ph34r:

Let's receive a bid & check into throroughly before leaping to vast conclusions shall we!

The "could" is the most important word in what you have said
