After reading this thread I downloaded Moon, Paranormal Activity, In The Loop and Righteous Kill over the weekend.
Let me know what the quality for Paranormal Activity is like, James dearest???? :thumbup:

Poor film though, really disappointing. Wanted to be scared but just found it pretty tame. Acting was decent admittedly and it was well put together but that wasn't the point, it was meant to make me shit myself and it didn't.

Does anyone know a genuinely scary film?

The thing is, as a society were all quite desensitized to most things, i've watched about 6 horror movies in the last week or so and haven't really been scared!!

The movies that I find scary are those I watched as a kid ie excorcist, entity, evil dead...

The only recent film is 'The Strangers', that freaked me abit!!!

The scariest films I think are the ones that dont show you much but leave it all to the imagination. In fact a book is far scarier than a film usually.

Certain films have freaked me out over the years and they are tame compared to most... The Shining is one.... I just cant watch it all the way through and I dont even know why lol

Films about Possession are bad for me because I do believe that sort of shit can happen. >_<>_<

I haven't seen the film, but I would probably do it in her bum instead............

Horrors just aint scary anymore in my opinion. Funny sometimes but not scary. The films where it's psychological or whatever they are called can be scary though. That's why I wanted to watch Paranormal Activity. I hope it is good and hope the reason some don't like it is just cos it's not full of blood and guts and all that :dunno:

Same here! I'm sure I saw a dog get possessed once!! Or maybe it could just see something that we couldn't, but it freaked out and I froze then after about 90 seconds legged it. The unseen is all around us (Parallel thingies, demons and all that) and it shits me up hearing stories about stuff like that :D

I used to live nextdoor to this guy who used to be a devil worshipper and he had a following of freaks. He knew all these summoning tricks like that Anton guy who created the church of Satan and had studied all the books. A few scary things happened at that house i can tell thee! I was glad to move to a new place.
