why was my post deleted?

after the game i saw alot of leicester in the concourse shout COME ON LEICESTER then run towards the derby corner to the right of behind the goal.

After the game I just went out towards all the coaches and there were riot vans everywhere twas chaos. My other mates had trains to catch and we're not being allowed past. There was alot of singing after aswell like "Leicester till I die" which I and a few others sang towards the Derby fans. Nothing violent though

City fans sang Harry Roberts, and all fairness to them, they should have. They were provoked by police and as I said before, I'm suprised there wasn't a number of injuries to police personnel.

Has anyone got a video of it on their phone. Somebody on here has to have caught it

That's absolutely pathetic.

You post about respect all the time and people not respecting you. Well I did. Now I've got NO respect for you at all.

Absolute disgusting and pathetic.

Grow up.

I'm not bothered if you have no respect for me to be honest. It isn't like I'm ever going to see you in the flesh anyway. I don't post about respect all the time, I did for a bit yesterday and I did once a while back. In all honesty, I haven't been here long enough to have the respect of the members that have been here longer than me, so this isn't a suprise or news to my ears.

On the song, I have absolutely no idea who Harry Roberts is, I didn't know who or how many coppers he killed, and to be honest, before yesterday I didn't even know the name Harry Roberts. I didn't even join in with the bloody song! But I'm not going to retract what I said - I was wound up yesterday and in quite a foul mood. I suspect it was only the fans who got hit, coupled with the fans who were angry about the kid being hit that sang it. Obviously they wouldn't kill a policeman, and if they saw somebody attacking a policeman with the intent to kill him when they were away from football, I'm sure they would help the copper out. It isn't only our fans that sing it (not that it makes it any better).

You harp on about being an intelligent young man... get some values.

Arrogant teenager who has issues with authority. How novel and original.

Like I said. GROW UP.

read the first page of this thread but all I can say is I was outside and I could hear all the leicester fans singing and a constant banging on the metal shutters - sounded like they were smashing the place up.

then there were a load of coppers coming from left right and centre running into the area where it was all happening.

the only thing I did see was a crowd of leicester fans around the exit where the coppers were going into and one guy got dragged out by a copper but thats all I saw.

I have values, I have morals. If I didn't join in with the song I can't be that anti-authority. The authority hasn't really done what I'd have expected it to when I've been the victim of crime at a considerably younger age than I am now, and so I have lost quite a bit of faith in it. I can't help using my own experiences to formulate opinions can I? I think using experiences and learning from them is actually pretty intelligent. Or am I wrong on that note as well?

I am arrogant. Big deal. I know a lot of arrogant people. Some don't know what the word means some are probably older than you are. And fyi, I'm not the only poster on the site with authority issues.

My issues with authority aren't so bad I want to be a hooligan, go out, cause trouble, get arrested, see if I can get an ASBO and be recognised as somebody who shouldn't be messed with 'cos I might cause loads of future problems. My issues with authority mean I have lost faith in them to protect people who need protecting, and to bring the correct justice to people who deserve it.

You're right.

Let's go and kill a few coppers, that will put this all right!

Wish I was still a mod....

I've never said "lets go and kill a few coppers". Why are you now attributing words to me?

If you were still a mod, maybe I'd have received a threatening/warning PM by now or actually have been banned. But I've never actually said lets go and kill anybody. Simply said that I thought based on what people saw yesterday the fans had a right to react angrily, and also stated I have been let down by authority in the past. And also for bringing up something I felt was going on on here. Sorry for exercising my right to have an opinion TPH sir. It won't happen again

Erm... do you actually read what you've posted.

You lent tacit support to those singing a disgusting song. You've said the police deserved it for being heavy handed etc. I'm not going to waste anymore time on you on this one... it's all there in your previous posts.

I think it's disgusting and pathetic. That is my opinion. You have a right to an opinion and a right to be wrong... it just shocks me how often you use that right.

So basically, stop digging and changing your tune because people who have read this thread have seen your true colours and I fear the damage is done.

I went to Derby away a couple of years ago and sat right on the edge of Leicester fans near the Derby fans and I'm never felt such an intimidating atmosphere away (even Play Off semis versus Stoke when they invaded the pitch and ran towards our end didn't feel as bad as that). So even though it's local and likely to be a hard fought game I stay away now. I bet that little lad's Dad will be doing the same for quite a few years.

And incidentally I got videoed by the police throughout the entire game so technically filming them back wouldn't be that out of order.

On the way out of the ground one Leicester fan walks past a line of policeman and starts on at them calling them Derby scum. One stops him and goes 'Actually mate I'm from Beaumont Leys, I'm a City fan'. And the fan looks sheepish and says 'Sorry mate'. So actually, Leicester police might also have been at the game to police us. I'm not saying that makes it better or worse but you can't claim it's local rivalry which necessarily caused the riot. It might just have been badly behaved fans getting het up both from being frog marched and being denied a pie at half time. Emotions always run high at these local derbies. We just need to keep things in perspective. A dog and gravy pie veto is not worth getting battered for.

I lent support to people singing a song when I was ignorant about the emotion surrounding it. As I said, I was in a bad mood and I posted in relation to that mood. I have also said that I didn't join in with the song. The police shouldn't have been so heavy handed in my opinion, and when emotions are running high, and people are angry, bad things are bound to be said.

If all of my opinions are wrong then why do people agree with what I say sometimes? I'm not changing my tune at all, I'm just a little more calm than I was yesterday. If my true colours are that killing policemen should regularly take place, why didn't I get involved directly in the riot or try to get myself arrested? Why do I not have an ASBO and instead spend quite a considerable amount of time posting on here? Hmm...

But yeah, OK, don't waste no more time on this subject, like I said, I'm not too fussed either way. As with another matter, I won't comment on this one any further outside of a PM, as it really isn't a major concern of mine. If I disgust you that much and you have so little respect for me, place me on ignore so you don't have to see a single post by me ever again.

Post of the weekend! Some people need to understand that hate is stupid, and hating someone because of their perceived region of residence has to be one of the dumbest things in the world.

Time to trot out the old cartoon:

...and you are advocating that it should have been the police that backed down? Simply unbelievable Thracian.

You point appears to exist on the understanding that if the police had just gone away and allowed the trouble makers to run around Derby unhindered everything would have been rosy.

You didn't get hit by one of those batons did you?

If you read my posts on the subject you would know what I think. Don't try and invent some interpretation of your own for what I say.

And no I didn't get hit. I went to watch a football match. My son has the right idea when it comes to fighting. He joins a boxing club and attends his aikido club.

They teach, above all, respect for people. And if that had been shown all round there wouldn't have been a confrontation in all likelihood.

Not taking sides here but agree with the point about respect. What a scummy, tawdry country we have become. Just look at the city centres as some crawl out of the clubs and pubs puking, fighting and urinating everywhere. Not much self-respect demonstrated there so what hope have we? Why can't people just get pissed and be happy?

I have read your posts on this matter this weekend, and your POV is all too apparent Thracian. I'm inventing nothing - just highlighting the ridiculous message you seem to be putting across.

You can read my posts on the matter and respond to the points I have put to you, I am not going to do it all over again here.

Which is where we were standing. And I think there is a degree of exxageration. As for all the counters being shut, that is not true.

They certainly shut the counter down at our end, opposite stair 59 after some trouble at the counter. I watched it and so did the forum member who was there with me.

We also saw the police wade in and frogmarch one light coffee-skinned youngster away and heard the fans start singing the songs into the Police faces.

It was quite obviously boiling into a fracas and I imagine that started within minutes of us retiring back into the ground.
