foxes_fan Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Skysports.com can reveal Paul Henderson has agreed a contract to stay at Leicester City until 2009.Henderson's future at The Walkers Stadium had been uncertain and he had been linked with Premiership duo Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic. But the goalkeeper has allayed any fears that he could be on the move in January after accepting a two-and-a-half year deal. The Australian's agent Peter Harrison confirmed the keeper was happy to pledge his future to the Championship club. "He is delighted to be staying," Harrison told skysports.com. "He has proven himself at Leicester. "Despite the interest from other clubs, he is very happy to commit his future to Leicester." Henderson joined The Foxes from Bradford City in 2005 and he is currently Rob Kelly's first choice between the posts. Keeper agrees Foxes deal Thoughts?
luffbra Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Keeper agrees Foxes deal Thoughts? This is a good thing. He's a good and improving keeper, who has got better with each match he's played (confidence plays a part!). His kicking is improving, and he's a much better shot stopper than Logan.
Ric Flair Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 The supposed interest from the premiership was obviously bollocks then. I'm neither happy nor sad with this news. He does a job. If Logan continues to improve, i'd expect him to take over as Number 1 anyway.
renards Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 I was rather hoping to read 'Douglas signs on' ....the dole
Master Fox Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 I was rather hoping to read 'Douglas signs on' ....the dole Or 'Leicester keeper Rab Douglas has sex with goat'
Stuliasz Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Had high hopes of getting some kind of cash deal for him.
filbertway Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 I hope he doesn't read this thread I was hoping we would sell him as we have a good replacement in logan, but he's doing a job at the minute, if he does continue to impress i'm sure he'll be off in the summer.
teblin Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Good news i think. Better than logan at the minute.
Flynny Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Or 'Leicester keeper Rab Douglas has sex with goat' Not again? I'm play Hendo's staying on. Logan might be a better prospect (I'm not convinced, personally) but he's always going to be inconsistant at his age and even if he takes over as No.1 we'll need someone else when his form dips.
davieG Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Let's hope he learns there is an alternative to kicking the ball (badly) out of defence. Throw the bloody thing once in a while!!
City_4_Life Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Good news. He is a consistant keeper who can pull off some brilliant saves, Just his kicking lets him down.
lookwhaticando Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Let's hope he learns there is an alternative to kicking the ball (badly) out of defence. Throw the bloody thing once in a while!! Or give it Kisnorbo - he's a great distributor of the ball.
TAFKA Castroneves Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Happy about this, if he's not going to go for good cash then i'm glad he is staying for a while longer. We know his kicking and distribution isn't great now but his ability on saves is top rate. Nice to see you staying Hendo
lookwhaticando Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 That's the keeper situation well and truly sorted then. Douglas is here until June 2008 Henderson is here until June 2009 Logan is here until June 2010 Sorted.

Manwell Pablo Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 Douglas contract will be terminated beore the end of the season IMO. If he agress to it.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 I think Rab will go. He is well and truly stuffed now as third choice keeper. With no reserves, he must be getting fed up of no action. I think he'll go.
Geo V Posted 16 January 2007 Posted 16 January 2007 I`d hoped that Hendo would be sold on but only because he was coming to the end of his contract and I would have wanted something out of a deal instead of nothing in the summer. Hendo signing on is decent news but would be better if Big Fat Rab was punted back to Scotland.

I think he'll go. Like fook he'll be fed up. I bet the guy is loving it. He's been and done it all, played at various levels, and now he's getting a lovely fat pay check for doing funk all. Lapping it up in a life of luxury in the middle of England. Cannae beat it.
