Stuliasz Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 Press Conference is tomorrow. The deal has been completed today. Please, for the love of God, be right!
Master Fox Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 He keeps posting guff like that, just ignore him. If you try to understand what the man says then it leads to confusement. FIAB is off his rocker. I’m utterly baffled, I don’t think I understand FT anymore. FIAB is scaring me

Shum Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 12 February BBC Leicester can exclusively reveal that Serbian businessman Milan Mandaric has received commitments from more than three-quarters of the Leicester City shareholders, and will be in charge of the club within days. http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/content/art...r_feature.shtml
Simi Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 BBC Radio Leicester's Jon Barber has the latest...
Ric Flair Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 I suppose it does take more than a few hours to actually seal the deal. He's been given the 75% he needs, now he'll have to get his lawyers to sort the paperwork for it to be completed. I can wait 48 hours if it finally means Milan Mandaric owns LCFC.
SwedeFox Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 Great point of time to make my first post now then... I'm a 15 years old Leicester fan from Sweden, I've been on another forum until now. I've spoken a bit with Andy and Jamie before. Let's hope this finally can go through.

Leicfox Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 I would expect an announcement by noon tomorrow, if what is reported, is true. Well its getting reported in most places that its likely a press conference will be held tomorrow.
City Lad Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 I just hope this is not another "John Barber Exclusive"
City Lad Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 Milan Mandaric's takeover of Leicester City looks set to be completed this week. The Serb, who sold his interests in Premiership Portsmouth last year, has been in talks for a number of months to seal a buy-out at The Walkers Stadium. Now the £25million deal looks set to be concluded and the takeover could be announced as early as Tuesday. "I am getting positive news from everybody and, if that is the case, I am excited at the prospect," Mandaric told the Leicester Mercury. "I have always had the deepest respect for the club's shareholders, because it was they who stepped in to save the club when it was in trouble. "When I have chatted to them on my visits to the club, I have found them very supportive and never found anyone who was against this. "I felt they always had the best interests of their club at heart and it shows." LINK
Phlashman Posted 12 February 2007 Posted 12 February 2007 I think there's a legal thing that means they probibly wait for the markets to close before finishing all the paperwork so they don't have to issue a statement until tomorrow, which will be an hour or so before a press conference. I'm no expert or anything and I could be talking utter bollocks, but I'm sure I've heard something like this before on the business news or working lunch.

Wednesday is more likely.

I think that would only apply if it was a quoted company, but I'm guessing at that also.
