fox123 Posted 12 February 2007 Share Posted 12 February 2007 sky sports just said news conference tomorrow at noon!!!! Can the FT confirm this??
harpendenfox Posted 12 February 2007 Share Posted 12 February 2007 I think that would only apply if it was a quoted company, but I'm guessing at that also. Entirely correct, as Leicester is a private company (ie not traded on the stock market), rules are much less stringent
Rocky Dennis Posted 12 February 2007 Share Posted 12 February 2007 We're so lucky to have the FT arent we? I dont know how weve survived for 120 odd years without them!!
City Lad Posted 12 February 2007 Share Posted 12 February 2007 Press conferance tomorrow - Mandaric takeover in box Milan Mandaric will be the new owner of Leicester City. There will be a press conferance tomorrow announcing the takeover This takeover has been in the air for a while and with the latest "leakes" from both The Foxes Trust and the club and also the Leicester Mercury anything else than a takeover would be very strange. 75 % of the shareholders are positive for Mandaric to walk in and then everything is settled really. We all have to wait for tomorrow for the official news, but everyone believes that everything is done and dusted by now. The latest rumours linking Iain Dowie with Coventry makes it less likely that he will walk in at City and TCF believe that is good. Rob Kelly needs a chance to prove himself but the pressure will be "from another world" with a goal of a direct promotion next season. But as we all know the Play-Off's is in reach, but no one really expect that to happen. Up the Foxes. LINK

lookwhaticando Posted 12 February 2007 Share Posted 12 February 2007 This has anti-climax written all over it. Perhaps it's because the transfer window is closed? Perhaps because it's dragged on for so long? Perhaps because it won't feel like anything has really changed for a while. One way or another, this doesn't feel like the exciting change we were all expecting... it's kinda flat.
Leicfox Posted 12 February 2007 Share Posted 12 February 2007 The Press Conference will not be tomorrow. Wednesday is more likely.

lcfc_forever Posted 12 February 2007 Share Posted 12 February 2007 Just heard the Sky Sports News Reporter confirming there will be a conference tomorrow. However, the deal is not done yet and Mandaric is still not the owner. There are a few minor details to sort out and the deal should be done in the next 24 hours (where have we heard that one before?). The delays have supposedly been the result of paying the mortgage on the stadium. Mandaric refused to comment on Kelly's position as manager and the amount he would invest in Leicester. All he did say was that there would be no instant changes of a significant nature, thereby hinting Kelly would stay for the time being.
