Laughing Stock!

Recommended Posts

Just travelled up from London got a free paper called the London Paper. Turned to page 39 this is what I read. (QPR) PALADINI has laughed off a £100,000 loan bid from Leicester City for midfielder Lee Cook.

The QPR Chairman has framed the written offer and hung it up on his wall alongside the phrase "your having a Laugh." PALADINI thought foxes chief executive Tim Davies was feeling dizzy when he made the bid for the 2 million rated winger. PALADINI said "I thought the man must have banged his head or somthing"

Sums up our club a laughing stock not being taken seriously by anyone

Lee Cook?? :dunno: ...I don't care who is laughing..he aint worth £2 million so he can stay at QPR and we should be looking for a higher calibre player anyway!

FFS

we are a joke. we cant sign any good players!!!

Kelly out!!

Yeah and thats really Kelly's fault

And do you really know why we can't sign any good players? The reason is...We now have money but we're still being tight!

Also, I may be wrong here but

PALADINI thought foxes chief executive Tim Davies was feeling dizzy when he made the bid
would it really be up to Tim Davies to do the bidding?

I wouldn't say no to Lee Cook- but £2 million?

I think its Paladini who's had the bump on the head...

What is it with this forum at the minute, the suicide rate in Leicester must be going through the roof the way people react.

this is all Kelly's fault, with a few top quality loan signings we could finish the season in 12 th position.

Midtable?We'll be lucky!!

Why oh why were we bidding for a player in a position already taken at the club, Porter is good enough.

True. We need to bolster the centre midfielder area and we are bidding for a left winger which is already taken by one of our better players.

Just what, exactly, does a "£100,000 loan bid" mean?

We pay them £100k to have the player on loan til about the end of the season.

Would Mandaric seriously sanction the spending of approximately £100,000 plus wages for a temporary player who could only play half a dozen games? There must be more to this than meets the eye. That, or it's more fish and chip paper rubbish which we come to expect from so-called newspapers.

Or we take him on loan then have the option to buy for £100k, although if that was the offer, we've got some lunatics making bids lol

Lee Cook? Damn good player.

Paladini (who was clearly dropped at birth so has no right to talk about any one banging their heads) has stuck a 10 million pound price tag on his head though. Just the way I'd expect that Italian maniac to react to such a bid.

I'm sure gregory placed a 10m price tag on his head not so long back after he attracted a bit of interest. Extreme to say the least, I'm sure he was just warning everyone off.

Lee Cook? is a quality player i would pay 400,000 for this lad.

Yeah I know...we had to fend off all the premiership teams just to get a bid in!

Lee Cook is good enough for the Premiership. He isnt blessed with blistering pace but he is an outstanding winger and better than Levi. Maybe you could play both of them? Anyway, I reckon Cook is worth £1m as a permanent deal. I wish we could attract players that good to our club! It makes a refreshing change from the likes of Yeates and Glombard.

Kelly is just simply incompetant. If it's not one excuse it's another. First it's a limited market because we have no money. Now that we have plenty of money, it's a limited market for whatever X reason dribbles out of his mouth.

I'm thankful for him keeping us up last time, but the guy is doing a job he was not brought in to do (i.e. trying to finish in the top half of the table not just survive).

I just couldn't trust him to buy anyone decent over the summer unless it was heavily influenced my Milan, and what with this QPR Tim Davis story emerging, it seems he's not even doing the influencing. God Help Us.

Chief Executives and Chairmen do the club-to-club business most of the time.

The manager says I want this player, the chief exec or chairman decides if it's doable or not then sets about making it happen and contacts the club in question.

Perhaps Tim hasn't been properly briefed on the player and has turned up with a silly low offer... who knows?

You seem to have the voice of reason but that stupid avatar belies your true intent!
