Yep. Nice day. Shame about the batting. It's only a friendly but Kimber just never learns? Doesn't seem to. Such a fragile top order.

That doesn't look altogether terrible; but as has been hinted at, we do need some of our bits'n'pieces players who've had great seasons in the past to perform.

 

I do wonder how much gas Wright has left but you can't leave him out if available. I'd say a good 8 of those pick themselves. Maybe 7 if it really just isn't spinning.

It's sobering to see. They're probably at or around the same level of shiteness as us, maybe slightly worse in fact but at least seem to have it together off the pitch and haven't haemorrhaged money at the same time as being awful.

 

Sounds like they've been able to steadily invest in improvements to their ground as well and won't need to spend any of the Hundred money on clearing debts instead being able to invest for growth.

 

It's worrying as we'll lose out on a chunk of that money through having to clear debt and given what we've been losing each year we have a lot of ground to make up before any investments cancel out the losses.

 

Should be some hard questions for Jarvis on how they can break even consistently and we lose big 6 figure sums each season.

They’ve got quite a smooth running off field thing going on there. Their ground is much more conveniently located than ours and their corporate facilities are a lot better. They also probably pay overseas players a lot less than us.

Yeah. Done well off field for sure. 

 

Has to be said however they are a very poor side. Or have been over the last few years. Therefore wouldn't really see them as something to aim at as it were.

Fair points although they got promoted not too long ago something I can't see us achieving any time soon.

Yes this is true. They had a good few years. 

 

Promotion was impressive

 

I think our playing side is better than it has been for quite some time. But that is not saying a great deal at all. We've had some terrible sides in that time! 

 

I think we will finish mid table

Wonder how we'll line up? Without Hull, the pace attack looks very 'samey' but assuming we don't go for 2 spinners at this time of year, I'm thinking it will be something like this:
