Any more news on Rishi's dislocated finger, do we know if he would have come out to bat at say 390-9 with the fifth batting point still up for grabs?

If there was no fracture, others with the same injury have had to put back into place and carried on batting (e.g. Mark Stoneman v West Indies in 2017)

They mentioned on RL that he won't be batting so I'd assume it's bad enough.

Probably 2-3 weeks out at a guess.

Played brilliantly. Didn't look out to me either, but certainly wasn't worth the risk.

Didn't look out did it live. Did batvwellbthough. Most fluent I've seen him in some time.

Loved watching Wright, but him smacking Bashir around isn't exactly a ringing endorsement of England's selection policy.

All about the golf, mate.

We have a bunch of inconsistent players that if 3/4s of them all pull it together at once we’re a very good side.

Budinger having a sensible innings, Mike taking a 3-fer and a decent knock. If Ahmed and Scriven get into gear as well then we might be promotion contenders.

Always rely on some brain dead cricket from the county, should have took whatever runs were on offer to push the lead on. Patel could clearly hold an end up so declining singles was silly. A lead of 198 should be enough to secure the win but we do often forget the basics

We'll bat very deep and have a lot of decent bowling options- probably a genuine strike bowler short (again) but they're difficult/expensive to come by.

I think we'll be difficult to beat and will end up top 4. Whether promotion is realistic, who knows. It's nice to not be the worst side on the county circuit though.

I think a fit and firing Scriven could be the difference this season, I think he’s potentially a very good bowler.

Fingers crossed he kicks on again this year.

Yeh I think as you say we lack someone with that extra pace. Maybe Hull or Green can start to provide that but they are more likely some way off what we need. We'll miss Patel over the next couple of weeks as well.

Looks Wrighty is injured too, pulled up before finishing his over earlier.

A knock for Wright is a blow but in theory Hull who was apparently near a return is exactly what we need in the attack so we do have someone to come in. Left armer, rapid, homegrown, already capped by England...

He's generally been pretty poor for us in four day cricket so far. 16 wickets in 10 games at 63.

But he's going to come good eventually and if it was to be this season we could be in serious business.

This is the first innings I think where Budinger played normally and even though he didn't go on it looked promising I thought, especially if Patel will miss a few week (admittedly another blow). Guessing Kimber will come in and any of Hill, Holland or Kimber could open, based on previous selections they'll draw straws.

Anyone else getting slightly worried?

This would be peak Leicestershire haha  but once the lad gets to his hundred will probs lose concentration. We will have to chase 60 odd for win I think
