Batting too long again imo. No reason to bat on once we’d hit the bonus point cut off.

Tomorrow looks like a virtual washout, maybe a bit of play after 4pm

If it rains as much as it’s due to, it’ll be called off way before then. Shame really as this would be a hammering. At least Kent and Derby are unlikely to win.

Yet another good day.

We look like a really well-balanced side this year. Budinger and Hill carrying some form into the season means that we don't really have a weak link in the batting when we're full strength. The seam attack looks more consistently dangerous than I thought it would. I don't think we will be too far off promotion come the end of the season.

Pray that forecast clears up a bit overnight!

An interesting contrast in batting performances at the end of the day. Last evening, Leicestershire batted for 29 overs with a score at stumps of 120-1, whereas Lancashire, tonight, after 8 overs, are 16-3! Happy days!

Old Trafford being a test match venue should have decent drainage so hopefully get some play tomorrow. We will have footballers earning in a week what some of these earn in a season. So nice to see the Foxes playing with some pride and playing as a team. At least them and the Tigers showing a bit of pride

We've been in control of our destiny in all three games so far which is a marked improvement on last season. Full bowling points and 12 out of 15 batting points is some going as well.

PL footballers earn more in a week then many cricketers earn in 3  years esp players at clubs like Leicester Derby Northants

50 for Rehan. He might become a better batter than bowler.

On another note, I can think of worst things than sharing the commentary box with the lovely Phoebe Graham. I hope Richard Rae appreciates this and does not keep delving into his Wisdens.

That's a euphemism I've not heard before. Like it! 😂

Couple of former Foxes involved for Zimbabwe in their current test series in Bangladesh, Nick Welch coming in first drop and Charl Langeveldt the lead bowling coach.

Pretty miserable weather up here on my side of Manchester - damp, grey and drizzly all morning. Its not lashing it down so if it brightens up it might be alright for some overs, but not too hopeful of enough sustained play for a result sadly.

That said, the way it's been going for Lancashire, even a short burst of play might be enough for us to make something of it...

I live in Manchester so made the most of the lovely weather and popped down to Old Trafford yesterday.

Thought Leicestershire look excellent throughout. Moving Ahmed up the order looks a masterstroke, he is obviously a confident lad and really set the pace at the start of the innings. Looks to be plenty of batting depth right down to Van Beek.

It’s pretty miserable here today sadly so I’d be surprised if there is any play.

It does just bring about the same frustrations as last season, although not as positive a start, we were in a similar position early on and then it was just rainy draw after rainy draw, until the break. By the time we'd come back to 4 day we were just shit.

Hopefully pick up a few wins in better weather in the coming weeks and be in a good position when the CC returns.

Mixed news on the squad for the visit to Gloucestershire, Josh and Rishi make the trip however Mike (back) and Scriven (abdominal issue) are both ruled out. Kimber somehow keeps his place.

Ahmed, Budinger, Cox, A Green, B Green, Handscomb, Hill, Holland, Hull, Kimber, Patel, van Beek, Walker.
