Attendances in the first few games weren't great but they've actually been much better recently.

Hmmmm. The ECB might have pulled off a bit of a con job but the investors won't be arsed in the slightest if Indian TV eyeballs stay on it.

 

Don't think it'd too daft to suggest we could see the men's games moved into daytime slots to cater for the subcontinent in future.

 

Not sure it was all worth it for the ECB to burn through all of the credit they had witt the people who actually keep the game going in this country, mind. Especially given the disparity it's going to end up creating between the counties.

That's nothing compared to some of the influencer jokers who are apparently now given parity with respected cricket writers at these games.

Now the ECB just need to turn their attention to the T20 and make that their flagship short game. Would be amusing.

Toying with the idea of getting a ticket for Friday but can't make it till after 5pm. Was hoping they'd do a half price ticket just for the second innings. I'm sure they've done that before.

Rehan not even in the 16 man England squad is criminal but brilliant for the Foxes. We will have him in for the 6  remaining championship games. I am actually starting to to feel more optimistic about staying up we will be taking in some winning momentum from the one day cup and our batting attack could look like this:

 

1. Patel 

2. Sol 

3. Rehan

4. Shaikh

5. Eskinazi (despite his white ball horror show is actually playing quite well in the championship with a couple of hundreds and an average of 40) 

6. Cox

 

The challenge as always will be taking 20 wickets but with that attack we should at least stop losing so many. And with ajaz and Rehan on those dry crumbly wickets who knows!

Would be my side for the run in, and agree about the two spinners on what will be dry tracks. I think that looks decent and better balanced than the first half of the season.

 

I think 3 has been a bit of a problem for us so Shaikh who has batted there could solve that long term. Alternatively he could open if Budinger isn't fit and you make room for Gumbs (who could also open) or Tattersall.

 

Bowling wise Davey and Holland are other options, probably likely over A.Green or Scrivo especially as Holland is captain but I must admit I'd prefer to see Scrivo and both Greens.

Not sure he will play all 6 Matches.Still has a central contract and you know how over protective they are.

I believe Budinger is pretty much fit which is incredible really.
