On the radio commentary they are saying that it is more batting friendly today. Eckersley just got out to a part time bowler with one previous wicket in his career. In the last over before the new ball. Shame. Lead of 120.

Lead now up past 100.

Anyone watching it? Batting conditions still pretty tricky?

Got to drive home the advantage when they bat again. Is it baking hot in Leicester? Will that make batting any easier?

Going by BBC weather, it's pretty hot down in Canterbury. The ball was doing a lot in the air yesterday- it generally tends to swing a lot more if it's cloudy.

Cheers, I meant Kent. Too used to typing 'Leicester'.

125 lead is pretty handy, just need a couple of early ones to really put the pressure on.

I really like the bowling options we have at the moment, good variety, a bit of pace with Chappell and a bit of class with Abbas, Griffiths and Parky both have the potential to rapidly improve and when you consider we can call on dexter, and even Ackermann to chip in with the odd wicket as well. If anything maybe we could play an extra batter? Raine has improved in some way almost every season since he came into the team too.

Is Carberry gone for good now or is there a chance he could still come back? Him and Horton looked good together at the start of the season. Admittedly we might not want to shaft the atmos up in the dressing room by bringing him back. Just need to find an opener who can do a job for us - even if he's just averaging 35.

Less swing movement today.

Will be a grind

This next partnership is a crucial one to break quickly. If we can, we'll be well on top.

Yes but I would be if we were chasing 10.

So true of me too! We're so used to expecting and getting the worst over the past 6 or 7 years!

we've absolutely smashed this. Confidence must be quite high in the team after so many seasons of dross and misery. 4 wins in one season! Unheard of with Leicestershire lol
