We’ve not looked like being in the box seat at any stage this season in any match.

 

Smaller counties very existence is being questioned. Derbyshire got the message and have got in Micky Arthur and Ian Bell. They absolutely whipped us on our own patch and run a tight knit small squad despite retirements and big players leaving.

 

They are proving what can be done.

 

Im afraid it’s time to change the coaching set up. We’re going backwards at a rate of knots and it’s a threat to the first class status of the club

That I think is beyond bafflement, with Ahmed coming in at 6 - for whatever his potential, this is still his first class debut and he is primarily a bowler.
