Should be making a big score against this Sussex attack, lacking Garton and now Robinson from their last game, not to mention on a flat pitch with the new dukes ball. Everyone else is making runs and this is essentially the same Sussex team we whacked at the end of last season.

 

I think this team have given up on four day cricket for this season already.

Parkinson scraped us over 200 against a Sussex attack that on paper is missing Archer (granted probably wont play red ball agin), Finn, Garton and all but 1 over of Robinson.

 

Now our bowling looks equally poor against Sussex's young batters even with the major stroke of luck of Pujara gone for 3. The non selection of Barnes is just baffling.

Exactly, this performance is abject. We are getting worse as the season progresses. Sean Jarvis saying it takes time, it won't take much for it all to come together, Nixon is a great coach etc. We were bowled out by a bunch 20 year olds averaging over 40 and a guy they have on loan from Essex 2nd Xl. They are also missing Hudson-Prentice through injury.

Been awful again today. To give you an idea of how bad we now are I got Delray Rawlins out for less than 10 when he played in the Birmingham league. I bowl left arm orthodox that don't even spin! 

 

Tragic state of affairs tbh. 

 

We are so bad. I can't believe we are still full time.

Sussex are winless for 17 county championship games and we've made them look like the late 90s Australian team. Don't know where we go from here but big changes are needed, beginning with the coach.

Reality is they will limp on until the Blast. Walker and Ahmed in sensational form for the seconds today, so one can only hope we have something better to look forward to.

Hendricks averaging 135 and economy of 4 and has got 4 wickets so far this season. This has to be one of the worst overseas signings in county history.

Three of their players have now scored first class bests in this innings. Lenham (previous best 24); Clark (previous best 100); Carter (previous best 51).  Could be more by the end of this innings, I wonder what the record is?

Bad enough building a huge squad of mainly mediocre English players but to get the overseas signings so wrong is criminal.
