So after those early weeks of optimism, our playing record is:

P 9. W1. D4. L4  (points 7)

We're going down with the Leicester.

Apologies. Supporting Leicester teams is not great at the moment (I'm not a rugby fan)

Truly bad performance. Got to change things up. Something like:

Budinger

Welch

Patel

Ackers

Mulder

Hill

Ahmed

Scriven

Parky

Naveen

Finan

Usually takes 5 games to find the right team, then we win a few and just miss out

Hopefully we don't renew Lilley's contract. Not sure why we give Sam Evans another year as he doesn't look like he's going to play at all in any format. That money could have been spent on a white ball batter, or anyone in fact who would be more useful than those two.

We also need to extend Rishi's contract as I believe it expires this season - top run scorer in div 2 at the moment, above Pujara and Labuschagne.

Second XI today looks like:

Hill, Budinger, Ahmed, Kimber, Malik, Evans, Scriven, Barnes, Hull, Salisbury, Finan.

I'd suggest Hill and Kimber would be  realistic options to add to our first XI batting and any of the bowlers could put their hand up to replace Davis based on his form so far.

Edit: Hill with 39 off 28 and Kimber 14 off 10 in the first game. Budinger with 6 off 7.

Some unreal knocks already this year:

Abbott for Hants - 110 off 41

Clark for Durham - 102 off 49

Cooke for Glam - 113 off 41

Lilley next to rack up a rapid ton tomorrow?

Edit: Struck me after I posted that if anyone fancies a ton tomorrow then worryingly Wayne Madsen is in good form so far this year...

Worst part about it is I can't see that any of our batsmen are capable of getting a ton at this format. We're missing an Inglis or Ronchi type player.

So (bar the return of Naveen) we can expect an unchanged team again tonight following our excellent form so far!lol

Sean Abbott for Surrey wasn't it?
