Need to bowl these out cheaply now and give ourselves a good net run rate. Might be important down the line.

Net run rate gain of 5.2 today. Amazing stuff, no reason why we can’t go deep in this competition, it seems made for our strengths.

Perfectly decent side this, no reason we shouldn't compete in all formats if we can get this type of side out.

I'd be happy to get Handscombe back next year with Mulder.

Still need at least 2 more seamers may be 3 going forward.

Any suggestions? I like the look of Hull and Walker, Salisbury is a may be?

4 more wins should be enough for a home SF…. Notts is a huge game as we can put some distance between us and them.

Beating Notts is always lovely, even if it carries the ever present risk that they'll then poach the players responsible for their defeat.

As for today, it was another superb win.  Have to say that on paper our group looks way stronger than then other group. We're up against 7 division 1 sides and Yorkshire.

It's true we are playing plenty lots of first division sides but they are depleted. Gives us a great chance. Bell Drummond, Billings, Cox, Crawley missing for Kent. Stick them in and a different game

Crazy we can win games without our world class white ball specialist

We can when we are playing against sides missing around 8 white ball Specialists.Great win all the same strongest batting line up we have had in years

Yes but the Div 1 sides are the ones mostly affected by the 100 also  we have 2 world class overseas players for example Surrey and Kent dispite  all the hundred calls ups haven't any

If we somehow won this then the ECB would scrap it

I'm sure the ECB will do their best to make sure we don't. They'll find some excuse to dock us points if needed.

Don't think they  are bothered  about this competition in the slightest. The fact  the finals not even played at Lords tells you that. They didn't even produce a match programme  for the final last year

At least they appear to have moved the final to a Saturday this year.

Still reeling from the introduction of Rule 66 this year: "Any team playing Leicestershire shall be permitted to make up to 3 (three) playing substitutions at any time during the game"
