Really thought he might today. Throwing a great position away here.

A stupid shot but why should we be surprised

The batting in recent games has been very hit and miss. We've largely been dependent on 2 or 3 players scoring the runs, with lots of low scores otherwise.

I think we’ve done well to get this score on a pitch that was turning on the second session of day 1.

Just needs some brains.

Must be doing something if Matt Parkinson has a 5fer on Day 1

Yeah it’s turning square but some of the dismissals have been brain dead. Hill and Rehan got tricky ones but the other three were stupid shots.

I’m will it again exactly the same as last  game, dropping it s a mistake, he always sures up middle order, make it hard for ourselves don’t we. For all saying Derbyshire in trouble, on par with us now.  Need a tail to wag

We’ve clearly adopted a bit of bazzball haven’t we. Can tell by the divide in here too lol

Not quite sure why we ain’t padding away most of Parkinson’s deliveries. Five balls an over pitching a foot outside leg. Make him have to change his line. He’s landing it in some rough and we are still offering the bat.

Totally agree.

I'd still say we're on top here- Kent's form with the bat has been poor recently. Might even work in our favour slightly given that we'll probably only have 3 days.

Deffo rather have these runs than be the bowling side. Especially if we are likely to lose a day.

In a surprise to absolutely nobody, Scriven scores more runs than Kimber

Scriven’s first class average is about 4 higher than Kimber. I feel he’s more a number 7 than Kimber, who is frankly a fraud of a player

Do we get a crack at them tonight if we are all out in the next couple?

10 overs left in the day. Lose 2 for the change.

Came on here first, read the comments, assumed we were struggling to get 250. Fled to BBC scorecard aaaand breathe!

Haha mini collapse, were on for a really big one, but tailed off then clung for a few at the end. Rollercoaster but can’t really complain with smashing nearly 400 in a day, their spinner taking 7 and our spinner in form. We are in a very strong position.
