with a good enough salary im sure we could capture him. Wigan would want to off load him surley with their new 30m TV-deal coming in. We could definatly do with some1 of his quality!

Preparing to be shot for these:

Gabor Kiraly - Free agent - gotta love the tracky bottoms.

Turner - Hull - solid.

Marvin Matip - Confident and quick centre back.

Ehret - Cologne - really quality left back or winger super crosser!

Hendrie

Pekka Largerblom - Cologne - the battling midfielder we all want to see, a good Lilian Nalis.

Jay Simpson - Arsenal Youth - gotta be worth ago although if we're not playing our own youth team strikers why buy from a team we beat. I think I just talked myself out of that one!

I've picked a few from Cologne would have picked more but most that are any good have left to Leverkusen.

If Emile Heskey came back i would dig out my 98-99 shirt with Heskey on the back and wear it to every home game next season even though it is about 6 sizes to small now.

Matthew Etherington - long shot I know but would fit nicely into our team

Aint he known for his nights out gambling? :dunno:

Chris Shuker? Whoever said him needs to really wake up. Ok, he is doing well, where ever he is, can't remember where but was he not ex-man city and left because he couldn't get into the team and that was when they were CRAP. How old must he be now??

LEE HENDRIE is interesting Premiership newcomers Derby County.

The midfielder is leaving Aston Villa after 13 years and is already in demand from Championship outfits Stoke, Leicester and Coventry. But the 30-year-old would like to continue playing top-flight football.

He said: "My dad spoke to Derby last Sunday and thinks there might be something there for me.

"The Rams have gone up to the Premiership so that would be a good option. Football comes before money and always has in my career."

All he is doing is Prolonging a return to the championship.

If he picks the sheep it shows how desperate he really is.

what about chris eagles? after united signing that NANI and Anderson he might not even get on the bench!!

what do you peeps reckon?

I'd love him to come down either on loan or permanently, however I would imagine the newly promoted sides like the Sheep, Brum and Sunderland are interested.

are we interested? great player, but would he even consider our league and us for that matter..... discusss...........

Celtic have told striker Craig Beattie he can leave as they edge towards a deal with Hibernian's Chris Killen. (Daily Record)

Forest eye Lennon as player/coach

Neil Lennon

Nottingham Forest are the favourites to sign former Celtic captain Neil Lennon, BBC Sport understands.

The League One side, who are managed by former Scotland international Colin Calderwood, are believed to want Lennon as their player/coach.

Lennon finished his seven-year Celtic career last weekend by lifting the Scottish Cup at Hampden.

But the 35-year-old former Northern Ireland international is expected to continue playing, his agent has said.

Neil's priority at the moment is to continue playing and I believe he has a lot still to offer in that capacity," revealed player's agent Martin Reilly.

Lennon enjoyed a colourful career in Scotland since Martin O'Neill signed him from Leicester City in December 2000 for £5.75m.

During his six-and-half years at the club the Northern Irishman won five Scottish Premier League titles, four Scottish Cups and two CIS Cups.
