The People's Hero Posted 6 June 2007 Posted 6 June 2007 I'd so take Danns. Kavanagh is a great shout too.
Vennegoor10 Posted 6 June 2007 Posted 6 June 2007 Billy Sharp is a goal machine in the league just one below ours, Izale Mcleod in a league two below ours. Sharp is reportedly a target for sheff wed, norwich and Wolves for £2 Million and Izale would cost us 1.5 if im right. Why havn't we be linked with sharp? This would actually make my pants into a poo hammock if we havn't enquired at least.
JoeyB Posted 6 June 2007 Posted 6 June 2007 Freddy Eastwood, with some decent service i reckon he would bang em in the championship, wouldn't mind seeing him here

Both players are very good, but both small and busy type of strikers like Hume. As Hume has just signed a new 3 year deal it's unlikely we'll go and get another player of the Hume variety. Eastwood is slightly different to Sharp but still not powerful enough. We need a big powerful striker. Cameron Jerome being the best suggestion out there as the type of striker we need.

See what your getting at but we could always play 4-3-3 Robert Earnshaw!!! That would really piss off Derby!!! 5 million on Earnie or 5 million on, 3/4 players who we need even more?
Raj Posted 6 June 2007 Posted 6 June 2007 See what your getting at but we could always play 4-3-3 5 million on Earnie or 5 million on, 3/4 players who we need even more? With MM's cash we can get both!!!! No...i suppose £5Million is too much for Earnie BUT if he's within our price range he'd be a star!
Mort Posted 6 June 2007 Posted 6 June 2007 Jerome cost Brum £3mil+, admitedly he's had a very average first season (for a player brought in for that kinda cash) but i cant see them letting him go for a big loss... however if he is surplus to requirements at St.Andrews then a loan deal might make a lot of sense. But i agree he is the kind of player who could link up very well with Hume.
potter3 Posted 6 June 2007 Posted 6 June 2007 Cameron Jemore yes please, exactly the sort of "direct" striker we need, and is proven at this level.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Steven Fletcher and Steven Whitakker from Hibs.
Father Ted Posted 7 June 2007 Posted 7 June 2007 Dimitrios Konstantonopoulos ( went Cov though) - shame Arjan De zeuuw - Old but could turn out good - Unattached Ulises De La Cruz - Getting old, may be looking to start every game - Reading Robbie Williams - Left Back - Very much needed - Blackpool Neil Lennon - Well we all know about him- Unattached Dejan Milovanovic - Rated highly - Red Star Belgrade Dusan Basta - Versatile - Red Star Belgrade Mark Randall - On Loan# - Arsenal Milan Purovic - Goalscorer - Red Star Belgrade Billy Sharp - Proven Goalscorer - Scu*thorpe A few of these may be long shots but it is a wish list!
Nick Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 I have scoured this mornings pages of transfer movement to find evidence of some kind, to support any of the above posts, to find little movement. Maybe we'll sign the eight quality players we need next week...... Shockingly it's also gone quiet on the Robbie Fowler signing too....thought that was a cert. Anybody else found anything to get excited about? (football related...please) N.
Durnerz Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 I think he may be the next one through the door, no sources or anything just a feeling as he rejected a new deal from Forest didnt he? Would you welcome him here?
SamL Posted 8 June 2007 Posted 8 June 2007 I think Thierry Henry will be the next through the door because he is unsettled at arsenal Just because Commons has rejected a new deal at forest doesnt mean he'll come here Although I wouldnt mind seeing him here, we need to bolster our midfield and he could be the person to do it.
