Neil Warnock | Colin Wanker

Recommended Posts

It wouldn't surprise me to see him here.

He's not happy with his contract negotiations at Sheff Utd and said he would seriously consider his future should they be relegated.

Mandaric is obviously and admirer of his talents, and with a good contract offer Warnock would find it hard to refuse the job here I think...

I don't like the bloke but he's by the far the best manager been linked with the job. I'd like to see him here. I'm sure the people still moaning about a few words he said about us years ago would soon forget their grievances when we start winning.

I said yesterday he is abit of willy puller when it comes to his loudmouth and opinions but he's a good manager. Wouldn't say no.

Although his decision to play 4 CBs against Bolton was questionable at best, downright silly at worst... lol

I've a horrible feeling he could end up as our next manager. I think he'll leave Sheffield United after they've been relegated and Mandaric is a fan of Colin's. He nearly made him Pompey manager the season before this one just gone, only for Colin to balls it up.

What would your views be if Warnock pitched up here. He's certainly better than a lot of managers we've been linked with and is very passionate. But he's an absolute helmet.

Wait for the rumours to surface in the next week or two.

Wouldn't say no. Rate him quite highly and he would do a good job here!

Stuart McCall believes Neil Warnock has taken charge of his final match for Sheffield United.

The Blades were relegated from Premiership on Sunday following a 2-1 home defeat to Wigan and much speculation surrounds the future of their long-serving boss.

Warnock has spent seven-and-a-half years at the Bramall Lane helm but talks over a new two-year contract have been protracted.

Warnock controversially turned down an offer from The Blades prior to his team's match against The Latics and United assistant McCall admits he would not be surprised to see his manager leave.

"Neil (Warnock) has a meeting with the chairman in the next 48 hours and then we'll see what happens at Sheffield United," McCall told Talksport.

"From a personal point of view, I thought that if we did get relegated then it would be Neil's last season at Sheffield because of what he has achieved.

"It wouldn't surprise me if that was the gaffer's last game in charge."

Maybe then?!?!? :dunno:

One could suggest "could be one of the managers Mandaric was targeting, as he was still employed he had to wait..." and all that.

The list of potential candidates just keeps on growing, it seems, one way or another.

At least we should know who it is within the next two weeks. lol:thumbup:

From Sky

Warnock wants to stay in Prem

Neil Warnock has given his broadest hint yet that he is ready to quit Sheffield United, telling Sky Sports News that he is keen to continue managing in the Premiership.

Tuesday's papers are rife with speculation that Warnock could be ready to quit The Blades after presiding over their painful final-day relegation following a 2-1 defeat to Wigan.

The lifelong United fan has been unable to agree a new two-year deal at Bramall Lane and assistant Stuart McCall revealed on Monday he expected his boss to end his seven-and-a-half year stay at the club.

Now Warnock has admitted he is keen to continue working in the Premiership, even if any decisions over his future will not be taken until he meets with chairman Kevin McCabe once more.

"I want to manage for a couple of years, in the Premier League if I can, so it makes it more difficult when we have just got relegated," Warnock told Sky Sports News.

"It's a lot to swallow in a short space of time.

"I've spoke with Kevin and we are going to have another chat in the next 24, 48 hours but I think let's get the disappointment out of the way and get a clear view of where we are going and what's happening.

"[it's] too many questions early doors really, I think you have got to stand back and look at the situation and that's what I'll be doing."

Well, it may have been mentioned, but he is in talks with Sheff Utd chairman about his future. He has declared that he still wants to stay in the Premiership as a manager. So to be fair, i think that is good news for Leicester, and my self personally! :D

Doesn't it say all that in the previous post?

They want a foreign coach though to try something different! I cant see that oen happening. He may have a chance of Derby if they go up and the reported hassle with Davies materialises. I would have thought he could get a job at a Wigan or Fulham but they have recently added a new manager to their ranks.

A quote from the bbc website in the Gossip colum

"Manager Neil Warnock is poised to quit Sheffield United in the wake of the club's dramatic relegation from the Premiership. (Daily Mirror)"

Not saying i want him, just throwing another name into the Hat. As its not like we have that many already...

Warnock hasn't left... yet.

He's been talking to the management at the club, trying to sort his future out. His two year extension talks went very slowly, apparently, and now he's making noises about wanting to keep managing in the premiership for a few more years.

Therefore, it seems likely that he'll be leaving - McCall, his assistant, has already said he wouldn't be surprised if Warnock left.
