Blue Bob Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 My missus did / does that. Dopey moo never learns! She chucks it in her handbag without keypad lock on and runs up the bills! Un-fecking-believable!!! So not so lucky - she learned. It scares me when she learns stuff. Cooking is next apparently. Couldnt be bothered to teach mine so I just divorced her instead. Legal bills were cheaper than a life time of phone bills so good result!!!
Lichfieldfox. Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 Kent you are a lucky man, my wife once ran up £120 on my mobile in a month - wish she didnt know how to use it. My ex-wife ran up one twice that - she was having an affair so now I've divorced her.
Daggers Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 My wife is from Wellingborough. They have phones there as well but, in the main, they are used as makeshift weapons during alcohol-fuelled street-based domestics. She also has a mobile phone which is never far from her face unless I call her about something really sodding important...at which point she is always in a meeting/it ran out of charge/going through a tunnel on the train/had it on silent and didn't notice.

I once visited the gift shop at the Great Central station in Loughborough and purchased a station sign sticker bearing the name Wellingborough. I can't remember where I eventually stuck it. Wellingborough - truly the bejewelled citadel of Northamptonshire.
Daggers Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 Wellingborough - truly the bejewelled citadel of Northamptonshire. Pound for pound - more Chav scum per square inch than anywhere else in the UK. What's more, it lays claim to having won "England's Shittest Town Centre" for a UK record 19 times - most recently in 2005. The Swansgate Centre has the most run-down Wimpy in central England from where you can look down at the unemployed shuffling around and play 'Spot the employed person', 'Spot the person with clean hair' and 'Spot the person not wearing a 1990's shell suit'. Catering for most day-to-day Chav needs, the Swansgate Centre is close to the Unemployment Office, the Post Office and a budget off licence. The Swansgate is open 6 days a week from 8.00am until 6.00pm, with late night shop lifting until 8.00pm on Thursday and Friday.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 Wellingborough is f**king shit. It's like a bad version of Northampton, somehow.
Daggers Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 Wellingborough is f**king shit. It's like a bad version of Northampton, somehow. It was a prototype - after they found out what really didn't work they got rid of any of the good bits and invented Corby
Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 It was a prototype - after they found out what really didn't work they got rid of any of the good bits and invented Corby The towns of Northamptonshire really are a horror show. Some really nice countryside but Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough and Rushden are all absolute holes. And as for Corby...
Daggers Posted 13 July 2007 Posted 13 July 2007 Ahh...but don't forget all those "funny" people that they sent to Irthlingborough lest they scare travellers by hanging around the motorways and giving Northamptonshire a really bad name.

I'm not convinced Irthlingborough is a real place. Anyway, nightnight everybody. Robbie Fowler. There we go, back on topic.
Hack Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Latest story from Australia regarding Sydney FC's pursuit of Robbie http://www.smh.com.au/news/football/sydney...3833773878.html
Cheese Me Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Gutted he's out in Australia being shown around Sydney. It's really not a good sign. I really want to see us sign him. He'd guarantee us 20-25 goals in this league and with the signings we've already had and Fowler up front I'd be hopeful of us pushing on for automatic promotion. Certainly a million times better than DJ Campbell.
Daggers Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Apparently, Fowler has stated this morning that he WILL NOT be moving to Irthlingborough - although he has expressed an interest in a property in Higham Ferrers so maybe a move to Peterborough is still on the cards.

Daggers Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 that mean he has ruled us out? It is widely known that he has a thing for the A1-M1 link road ever since he found out that you drive through the Battle of Naseby site. I have it on good authority that this will be one of the deciding factors for him. Obviously Kettering have been alerted to this as, with it being just a short pop up the A6 from Irthlingborough. Not only that, but he is very fond of the all day breakfast that they serve in the Little Chef at Thrapston. I think it is safe to say that anyone holding out hope for him to sign for City would be better off looking at McManaman. In fact, Macca was spotted going into a newsagents in Thurnby and sticking a note in the window which reads "Wanted: regular football for an ex-pro Phone Steve on 0780 *** ****"

Bluefoxtim Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 Fowler did say that he has young kids and his decision would be largely based on what's best for them. You could look at it both ways... Keep them in the country they are familiar with and around grandparents etc, or start a healthier and more peaceful life in Australia...

Not sure that Australia is either of those things - Great white sharks, box jelly fish, Salties, snakes, spiders ect ect plus a few not so friendly bruces that like to go pommie bashing. Other than that Sydney is a really nice city!!
Joe. Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 To be honest I could see Fowler going to Australia now. However much I want him to come here I just don't think it's going to happen...
lildave3 Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 To be honest I could see Fowler going to Australia now. However much I want him to come here I just don't think it's going to happen... Ah well, we've got De Vries
Koke Posted 14 July 2007 Posted 14 July 2007 If Elvis had gone to Mallorca and Fowler had signed for us, I would have walked down to Elvis' appartment and kiss him on the forehead and say thank Lord..
Daggers Posted 15 July 2007 Posted 15 July 2007 It seems that Robbie Fowler has bought a property in Woodford - meaning that he has either signed for Cranford FC or Kettering Town have pushed the boat out. My mate managed to get a quick snap of him celebrating the house purchase on the village green yesterday.
