Joe. Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 Well England look to have this one wrapped up England 33 Tonga 13 Quarter finals here we come
lcfc_jme Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 a win tonight to get through in order to face.. Australia! So we're going out at the very next stage, then?
MPH Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 quite a good performance , really... i now feel we have a 10% chance against the aussies. Before the match it was 1 %
Finnegan Posted 28 September 2007 Author Posted 28 September 2007 I've just got back from work but the reports I've read of the game aren't too inspiring. Can't see you beating Aus, I wouldn't right them off winning it this year if they can tighten up their form. Fingers crossed for tomorow, a good, convincing win and I can see us having a competitive game against the Boks. Need to tighten up our defense massively though.
Suffolk_fox Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 I think they did OK tonight - Jonny Wilkinson's cross kick to set up that amazing try was just a class apart.
Milky Posted 28 September 2007 Posted 28 September 2007 England did pretty well tonight, especially in that second half when we actually started to play some really attractive rugby! The confidence was really flowing for a moment. p.s
Milky Posted 29 September 2007 Posted 29 September 2007 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Fiji knock Wales out! 38-34. National sport and can't even get out of the group. , what a joke! We love you Fiji!
Finnegan Posted 29 September 2007 Author Posted 29 September 2007 Woeful. If only we only had to play the last fourty minutes of games. Terrible. It's been coming all tournament. Oh well, it's all irrelevant really - South Africa were going to the semis either way. This has truly been, from a home-nations perspective, one of the worst tournaments in any sport I can actually remember.

Finnegan Posted 29 September 2007 Author Posted 29 September 2007 Lap it up, lap it up. <_< Wait 'til Feb.
Bert Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 Unlucky Wales. I'll be saying exactly the same thing about England next week as well.
Finnegan Posted 30 September 2007 Author Posted 30 September 2007 Mixed feelings. I can't be bothered to explain as most of you don't care anyway, but, yeh. Fingers crossed for February. Very, very surprised if Eddie O'Sullivan has his job at the end of today. Might be quite relieved though, too. I like a bit of Ireland rugby.

Finnegan Posted 30 September 2007 Author Posted 30 September 2007 So? Welcome to the world of sport. Rugby's just as treacherous as football. O'Sullivan's been at the helm of the Irish side for ages with no REAL glory. They're ever the bridesmaids, everyone's dark horses for every tournament. And in this world cup they've had a complete and total collapse. Alright, so he might not go today, but his sand is running thin - this world cup has been dire, his treatment of Murphy has been shocking and he seems to be losing the squad. The Ruddock scenario proved it's the players that largely wear the trousers and O'Sullivan's likely to feel the same wrath.
Sparky Posted 30 September 2007 Posted 30 September 2007 think o sullivan may just hang on to his job for the time being , anyone think he will coach the lions in 2009 ?
Finnegan Posted 30 September 2007 Author Posted 30 September 2007 think o sullivan may just hang on to his job for the time being , anyone think he will coach the lions in 2009 ? I personally hope not. I don't really rest my happiness on the success of the Lions, tbh, but I don't think Jenkins, O'Sullivan or Ashston would inspire me with confidence.
Finnegan Posted 30 September 2007 Author Posted 30 September 2007 So who do you think could coach the Lions? A Kiwi? Scott Johnson? Heh. But British coaches? Hadden's doing an alright job, Ruddock'd be half decent, maybe. Dean Richards? Haha.
Finnegan Posted 1 October 2007 Author Posted 1 October 2007 FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
surrifox Posted 6 October 2007 Posted 6 October 2007 as that a'hole in the australia rugby administration says " the whole world hates England and is desperate to see them lose".... suck it up tosser
Milky Posted 6 October 2007 Posted 6 October 2007 YESSSSSSSSSSS! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! 12-10, what a superb performance, what fight, what desire, what bravery! This is a miracle! Where the hell did that come from! Finners, before the tournament you laughed at me when i said we had a chance in this game, well sir, what do you say?
