Just had a callback from a place I applied for yesterday and I've got an interview on the 1st July - they've asked to do it on Skype since I live quite far away and it's a morning one: what's the conduct for video interviews: Suit and tie still I'd guess and in terms of placement in the house - does it matter? Should I be doing it in my Kitchen or office rather than bedroom (where my computer is normally set up)?

Do it while you're being colonically irrigated and look like it's the most natural thing in the world.

I'm going to be a dad by this time next week!! Girlfriend is being induced next monday! So happy

That's also our due date. She's been midwifes just now and is 4/5 engaged so pretty much ready to drop. Hoping it doesn't happen tonight for two reasons a) I am going for a bike ride in the glorious sun and b) I feel woeful still. Rubbish

Congrats and good luck to you FF and your lady

Just had a pleasant early evening meal with Mrs Col at 'World' on London Road.

Steve Walsh was there too (the legend) sporting a dandy pair of shades.

There are some very prejudiced people out there. Dye your hair before you even think about an outfit or set placement mate.

So after a careers consultation with the RSC they've recommended going for a PhD, if not just keep plugging away and I should have found something within three months. Decent boost for my confidence that. 5 hours for lunch etc and then a networking evening next

Good luck to the new dads.

Just had my 2nd and  of course i was proper excited before my first came along.... you can read every book... listen to every piece of advice but NOTHING and i mean NOTHING will prepare you for when that first baby is here and comes home. Its so exciting and terrifying at the same time.

Those sick days i used to take whenever i couldnt be bothered to get out of bed? GONE. Babies need nappies and clothes and stuff like that. Now its more of a case i NEED to work wrather than i do it to meet my lifestyle. Babies are a real game changer but i wouldnt swap them for the world....

You'll be given so much advice by so many different people but i have just one peice of advice - especially for those first few weeks.... If the baby is asleep ... SLEEP! forget about housework, forget about everything.. just get the sleep that you need.

Cheers for that mate. I've slowly tried to cut down on my sleep over the last few months to be better prepared. Can get by on 4 hours now so hopefully i still get that lol

I just got my wife to do all the middle of the night stuff. She was on maternity while I was working full time so it was only fair. Then when she went back to work it was only part time so she carried on. I think I got more sleep after my kids were born than before.

The kids are the proof.

I remember them nights of 4 hours sleep...but not 4 hours straight. Hour here..up for 1 hour..sleep for another lol.

I agree absolutely nothing prepares you for your first child. If you're lucky to have a sleeping baby through the night you are truly blessed.

With my second baby things are easier to handle because certain things i learned to let go of. Like beong a constant clean freak. Out the window. My toddler makes it impossible to stay on top of.

This new baby seemS much easier but my toddler doesnt help at all.

I dont know how people can have 4 or 5 or 6 plus kids
