Where did it happen and what did you to get assaulted?

In sumo on Braunstone Gate, I bumped Into this lad at the bar, I apologised and bought him a drink, he then bought me one back, I thought that was that and went off outside in the courtyard to enjoy the rest of my night, but the said lad came outside to be after about 20 minutes and started saying "why did you bump into me, you think your a big man" I was like "I'm sorry for bumping into you, I don't want no trouble I'm here to just have a nice quite night" then bam, out of nowhere he's head butted me, I've gone down and his mate has hit me while I was on the floor, the bouncers have came running over (two good lads, I know them) and kicked them out straight into the polices arms.

More than likely, they will get what's coming to them.

Cheers guys, yeah plenty of witness's plus CCTV so it's in the laws hands now, not holding my breath though.

As for injuries, I got off pretty lightly just a bit of bruising.

Had to work last night and got a bollocking from my manager (she was in a bad mood) for standing still, stupid. Got a cold now and I've got an interview tomorrow morning, worst possible timing for it.

Seriously how many interviews do you have per month?

Normally none. But quite annoying doing an interview with a cold.

My chickens have finally started laying eggs!! And I tell you what, all the getting up early to feed them, to clean the coop out,  locking them away at night.... those two eggs are the absolute best tasting eggs I have ever tasted.

Special mention has to go to my Rooster who I have named Big Daddy. Shags ten birds every hour and can still walk straight....

So you have a Rooster shagging the chickens but your eating the eggs? Exactly how many chickens do you have?

Was one of the bouncers a man mountain called Stu?

I loves Wells next the Sea, great little seaside town.

It is, I'm not a fan of the tackier seaside towns so Wells is great - everyone's really friendly and even when it's busy it isn't stressful. It's also a nice drive there, wish I'd have camped the night!

Possible ACL injury.... football playing days.... over :S

Horrible isn't it. Done mine three times. You can come back just build them leg muscles back when you can and they will help protect the ligaments.

Unless Ofcourse you've got a grade 3 full rupture, that may be more difficult

 Not ACL... only Cartilage apparently... woohoo.. couple of months and the "career" is back on :)

Just seen this after my previous reply.

Where did you go for this? I can't get a clear answer from my physio,

Apr 2013 I did ligament damage, was told it was grade 1 medial strain... Was back playing after 3 months feeling fit. Got a full season in 13/14

Pre season July 11th 2014 first session back, 5 minutes into ball work my same knee buckles. Go lri get checked out, eventually doctor tells me a couple weeks later in April 13 I infact had a grade 1 full tear of ACL but two weeks later when I return to physio he says he's not sure what's gone on.

I just want a clear prognosis from someone who can tell me if/when I can return to playing. I am currently doing some coaching with my side and last night I was kicking the ball with both feet comfortably

Cheers mate, sorry to hear of your injuries.

I was very lucky (and maybe overreacted?) the swelling has dropped really quickly went to see my local Doc who is a bit of a sports specialist too, and he was 90% confident it wasnt that serious, offered to send me for an MRI which is apparently the only way to be 100% (and maybe what you need to do?) but that would cost me $300 and he said, I could rest it for 2-3 weeks and see if it is still an issue before doing the MRI.

Lots of ice and strapping over past few days and rest for the next few weeks and fingers crossed its all ok.

Good luck with yours.

Edit - Keep in mind im old and the career is pretty much finished so the doctor is a little more relaxed, if your still young and got a good few years of playing to go. id be finding maybe a sports specialist and getting further checks
