Good night at the Word. Read two poems out and was asked if I would let one be included in an anthology commemorating the outbreak of WW1. Also there was a surprise guest artist in Mellow Baku (Google her) when the original guest couldn't make it. They called Mellow up and she agreed to come at short notice. Met her a couple of times A great singing voice and a very nice person.

Was in the gym last night, and some guy had his treadmill going full tilt, decides to get off to wipe his face, leaving said treadmill in full tilt, then some unseudpecting guy thinks it's free and try's to get on it, not knowing it's in full tilt mode, to say it didn't end well would be an understatement.

Turns out the chap has broke his wrist!

Heart attack central here.

The US Embassy sent out an email saying the military were surrounding the police and everyone should get home and lie low.

We are in SA but know some people are still in Lesotho, as do all the other 'refugees' in our hotel. So we all start calling, smsing and tweeting people to go home quickly.

Someone then notices that the date of the message... It was supposed to go out last Friday.

Dumb f*c*k*rs.

Not what you need in such a fragile situation.

The Embassy sent an 'apology' for any inconvenience...
