Manwell Pablo Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Mablo... I said in another life... not this pathetic one. Life as a fishmonger is hard. Louise makes me work all the hours of the day, and I end up constantly smelling of fish. Especially my face. Oh, I thought that was Ultra releasing his "Pheromones" near that family happily eating. Just to keep this on subject, Megson out.
demon_dog Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Kevin Keegan will be Leicester's new boss, I have this on good authority and would not suprise me at all. What we think? Where's Meadwell5 ? When we get him it'll be MeadUNwell5. You and your good authority, don't ever post again you t*sser.
Wycombe Fox Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Where's Meadwell5 ? When we get him it'll be MeadUNwell5. You and your good authority, don't ever post again you t*sser. Don't be too harsh. Maybe he got the dates wrong. Maybe Kevin Keegan will be next week's manager!
Mighty Muzzy Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 We all want promotion. It's not as simple as "doing whatever it takes" because at the moment he doesn't give the impression that he knows what it's going to take.I appreciate your sentiment and it'd be great if everyone felt like you but I'm just really disappointed. To sum it up, I'd have been disappointed with Megson replacing Kelly under the old regime. To have to settle for him under Mandaric when Allen did nothing wrong results-wise is incredibly galling and I think it's completely reasonable that the fans who forked out money for season tickets partly due to the Milan-Martin banner reserve the right to be sceptical over his replacement. As I've said, the pressure is on and after being messed about like this I don't think the fans will settle for long-ball football unless we are winning games week in week out. Of course, this being Leicester City, we'll just get the happy-clapping Fox Leisure families turning up regardless and banging on about how Megson got West Brom promoted twice. Leave the happy clapping Fox Leisure fans alone!!!
Ozwin Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Does no one think that having so much time out is going to fook us over? If he's been out for 18 months then surely his knowledge of the game and what to expect will be outdated. I'm not happy at all about this.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I wonder if he'll be in charge for QPR. I said to my mate yesterday that I reckoned if someone took over by this morning, they'd be in charge for QPR and if it was this afternoon or later then they wouldn't. 1pm is pretty borderline though. I reckon on reflection that he will.

Still 11 a side, and you need to score one more than the opposition to win. If we win the next two games on the bounce we'll be happy as larry
trickytree Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Commiserations - and that's from a Forest fan. Get ready for sterile, long ball football and a tactically inept defensive mindset. Even if Megson IS successful, it'll be so painful to watch. Mind you, with that megalomaniac Mandaric he'll be lucky to last until Christmas ! What is it four managers in 2007 (to date) ? I remember that carrot top playing six defenders against [then] Conference South Weymouth ! Mind you, Colin Calderwood isn't much better - another defence minded tinkerer. On the plus side [for you] he has much to prove and will be well motivated. Further, his actual signings overall weren't bad, it's just that he was unable to motivate any of them ! Interesting times ahead. Oh and for a Forest perspective on the City - Trees unrequited 'rivalry' see http://leftleaningpolitics.blogspot.com/20...cester-and.html . I would add, in fairness, that your visit brings out a fair share of Red nutters too - not just your thuggish fringe. I'm waiting for the abuse, but have tried to post in a non-sectarian way.... still the excitement of the CC Round 2 is underwhelming for me, if not for you Foxes.

Most managerial appointments can be deemed as exciting or dour and at this stage a lot of our fans are concerned that Megson isnt our preferred choice as we are a club going places with ambition. However, some appointments down the years at various clubs which have promised plenty have ended in tears. Gullit at Newcastle, Platt and your mob, Pearce at yours once again, Tigana at Fulham, Perrin at Pompey. The list of managers who were joining a new club with the promise of great football and better results is endless. However, it actually guarantees fook all. If I continue with regards to your club, Megson came to you in mid January with yout team in the shite and didn't make things any easier. Neither did the aforementioned Platt or Pearce and Calderwood is hardly making things look simple is he? No offence mate but go off and worry about your side before getting involved in ours. Its typical Forest for still somehow thinking they can almost laugh at what we are doing when they (a) say that we are not there rivals and (b) are stuck in the 3rd division with 3 goals in 4 games and hover above the relegation zone and © havent won anything in decades.
Dr The Singh Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Geo, every fooker on the planet is laughing at us!!!!
Guest Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 I can't be bothered reading from where I last got to (page 17, I think), purely because I feel so ... whatever. There isn't a word that describes what it is I'm feeling, but whatever that word is, I am totally feeling it. Bring on the Autobots.

Geo V Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Geo, every fooker on the planet is laughing at us!!!! How can Forest, a third tier side who have tried god knows how many managers and are currently near the relegation zone of D1 whilst Leeds have won all 5 games with lesser resources have a pop at us?! We haven't a manager who hasnt gained promotion but one who is ginger, a well known moaner but one who has managed to take a side up to the premier, bring them down and then go straight back up again. He aint all that bad and a all it takes is a decent result or three for all the prats who are taking the mick shutting up and moaning "why didn't he do that for us". Of course it could go the other way and he starts off with 5 defeats but Milan would have lined up Colin willy puller by then
lookwhaticando Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Press Conference: Radio Leicester: Is it a long term contract? Gary Megson: Yeah... I think it's [looks towards Milan] six weeks?
The People's Hero Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Press Conference:Radio Leicester: Is it a long term contract? Gary Megson: Yeah... I think it's [looks towards Milan] six weeks? Football manager. Tried. Failed. Comedian. Tried. Short lived. Failed. Erm... where do I go from here?
lookwhaticando Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Sounds like the Three Musketeers (the caretaker coaches) will remain in charge for the next game.
Guest Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Erm... where do I go from here? Is it down to the lake I fear?

That's how I feel. I can't even get sad or angry. It's just sucked the desire to be anything about the club right out of me. Joke appointment.
The People's Hero Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Is it down to the lake I fear? <chinese whispers> Is there brown in the cake, my dear? </chinese whispers>
Ashley Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 He'll have my full surport COME ON LEICESTER
lookwhaticando Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 Megson: bringing Taggs back to the club was my idea.
DB11 Posted 13 September 2007 Posted 13 September 2007 He has experience of getting out of this division, plus Tags sounded like he know what he was going on about when he did commentary for RL so, hopefully, this will be a good deal
