Suffolk_fox Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 We have to face we are in deep trouble now. I know people are saying stop going on about MA but i can't stop. He was a great guy, likeable by all the fans and had got the players motivated and playing attacking football hence the 4-1 win against the league leaders. Milan sacked him and there is just no replacement for him. Megson is just a completely different type of manager, looking to play defensive football and try not to concede goals, then not even attack when 2-0 down. Ill give Megson the Stoke and Wolves home games and if we don't at least take 4 points from those 2 he needs to go.There is no truely no replacement for Allen There is only one Martin Allen. Bring back Spangles.
Nath Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Can't see MON playing a weakend side against us, making it a very tough away game, but who knows.
Joe. Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 In typical Leicester fashion we'll probably put in a great performance against a Premiership team after being shit in the league. I'd go for: Fulop Kaebi McAuley Kisnorbo Sheehan Ferreira Clemence Kishishev Porter Hume De Vries Not wanting to go along with all the loving for Kaebi and Ferreira without seeing them play, I've put them in my preferred team because they are natural in their positions. I like attacking fullbacks and from what I hear Kaebi fits this description. I choce Levi too because he's a much better winger in my opinion that Sheehan or Mattock. Putting Ferreira in at right wing would free up Hume to play up front.
Milky Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Fulop Chambers N Gotty Kisnorbo Sheehan (We really need to sign a left back!) Kaebi Clemence Kishishev Ferreira Hume De Vries
Simi Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Megson has gone to watch Villa today, the players have been in to train as well this morning with Tags.
Thracian Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 FulopChambers N Gotty Kisnorbo Sheehan (We really need to sign a left back!) Kaebi Clemence Kishishev Ferreira Hume De Vries Pretty good except I don't see Ferreira as a left winger. Nice bonus if he proved me wrong.
Webbo Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Every body is saying Megson is a defensive manager and then they post attacking line ups. Given current form and the fact we are playing away to premiership opposition, the team will probably be like this; Fulop N'Gotty McAuley KisnorboStearman Chambers Clemence Kisishev SheehanHume Cort
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Shite - Villa look good, especially at home. MON working his magic again - anyone else fear the worst? (Hoping to be proven wrong)
Trumpet Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Kaebi and Ferwhatever won't start. I don't think they ever will....
Ron Burgundy Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Sorry if someone has already mentioned this but i couldn't be arsed to read through the other thread: Does anyone have any idea how many tickets are left for weds and if so how many?
Milky Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Pretty good except I don't see Ferreira as a left winger. Nice bonus if he proved me wrong. The thing is though, Porter, Sheehan and Mattock don't do it for me at left wing, so i have to ask who else could play there. I'd like to see Ferreira given a go, firstly because he's a winger, he has played on the left wing several times for previous clubs, and having seen him in the reserves he seems to have a reasonable left foot. If it turns out he can't play on the left, the next in line for me would be the naturally left footed Adda Djeziri. If he's no good aswell i'd want yet another new signing.
davieG Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Fulop Chambers N'Gotty Kisnorbo Sheehan Kaebi Kishishev Clemence Hume MDV Campbell/Fryatt Subs: Ferreira, Stearman, Sappleton, Cort, Porter I'd go for broke with 433 Clemence on the left of midfield, well he is left footed and tell him to attackKaebi can tackle, I've seen him more than 3 times and would have some freedom to get about the whole of the right side.I'd tell Kishishev to hold the middle, keep it simple and to feed the ball in a semi-circle from Kaebi on the right through the forwards and round to Clemence on the left. Can't decide between Campbell/Fryatt as they are both lightweights. The centre of the defence N'Gotty Kisnorbo and Kish is a bit slow but there really is no other choice as I'm reluctant to suggest Stearman in the centre despite some creditable performances in the reserves at CB.In truth we'd probably concede but at least it looks like a team that can attack and hopefully score a few.

Scow Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 He'll probably go 3-5-2 - he's been desperate to phase it in, and losing 2-0 at Charlton allowed him to do that. 'Let's bring on another defender and draw the second half.' I'd go with this; FulopMcAuley - N'Gotty - KisnorboChambers - Kishishev - Clemence - MattockHumeMDV - Campbell
Daggers Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 This game has "What do you mean I can't get a half-time pint?!" written all over it.
Jack Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 I think after the weekend's results they will be full of confidence after a 2-0 win over Everton at home and us losing to Charlton wont do our players confidence any good. We need to get behind the players and hope that they give it there all and give a good performance and if we snatch a win that's a bonus. The one thing that worries me is our lack of pace at the back and if MoN picks Gabby to play i just can't see who is going to stop him and i think he will cause us a lot of problems.
C-man Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 We have already sold that amount and the tickets have yet to go on general sale. We've already sold 4000 tickets?!! Better get down to the ground early tomorrow morning then!!
Lillehamring Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 I think if were going to have a go against villa, we need to start the game with the team that ended the game against villa! And go straight out of the blocks and attack them! The only way we will beat villa is if we keep attacking them, if we sit back and let the pace of ablonlahoar(however you spell it), Young and moore come at us, then were going to get destroyed! and you haven't even mention carew - i watched him carve up a decent argentina side the other week, surprised he isn't scoring more to be honest, we might be the opportunity he's been waiting for, wouldn't be surprised to see a carew hat-trick... somehow tho, i think the pace may be a little slower than the league and we may do ok. the thing is, after saturdays team selection i really don't know what to expect. i'll hope for: fulop chambers - n'gotty - kisnorbo - mattockkaebi/ferreira - kish - clem - sheehandevries - hume bench: hendo - kaebi/ferreira - campbell - mcauley - stearman
Karlos Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Think we need to have Kaebi starting at villa, see what type of player he really is! We do need more up and down the wings, and we need players who can put some proper passing together, in my eyes, porter Kisnorbo and mcauley cant deliver that, esp when were going to a prem team! Have to say nothing but dissapointed with DJ aswel as we need a 20 goal a season forward, and i dont think he is the man to do it! Cant wait for the game though, hope the atmosphere is at least not far off that at the f*rest game!!! PS, does anybody know of the best places in the area to park???

It's probably as physically strong, experienced and theoretically resilient as we can be. Yes any coach using fast forwards to play through us on the floor would probably tear us to shreds down our left and centre. But I'd quite like us to play that side. It would advertise our future under Megson perfectly. Okay, it almost completely lacks any chance of passing and moving consistently and looks about as creative as a concrete garden gnome. But we would compete. No question. And robustly so.
Geo V Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 These games can build confidence or kill confidence and I am hoping that regardless of the result, the lads actually come out of it believing in themselves a little more and hopefully after another game, the whole episode of the last 2 or 3 weeks is completely out of their heads. I must admit I fear the worst as I cant see Villa playing the reserves in this one. They have a great young squad with loads of young and hungry English players who will cause us plenty of problems, especially on their home patch but we have some fighters in the side who will need to raise their games for us to come out of the game with any respect. Lets hope that our lads do us proud.
Ric Flair Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 For the first time in a long while I couldn't give a fook whether we win or lose this game. The bigger picture is, this team is currently a shambles and I don't see Megson having the tact or ability to turn it around. This rollercaoster is now making me feel sick, infact i've just chundered in my pocket. I hope we take an absolute hiding.

I see no light at the end of the tunnel and Megson doesn't have any batteries in his torch!!!
